In the midst of recounting my harrowing experience at Jalsa Beach Resort, a new chapter of disappointment unfolded that I cannot overlook. Despite the allure of an all-inclusive package, the resort managed to shatter any remaining semblance of guest satisfaction with their callous treatment. In a distressing moment of urgency, my son found himself in need of water to combat dehydration around noon. However, the timing proved to be a cruel obstacle, as the pool bar had closed at 12, and the main restaurant remained shuttered until 12:30. My pleas for assistance fell on deaf ears, as I was callously denied access to place an order until the designated time. This heartless enforcement of policy left us stranded, highlighting a blatant disregard for basic human needs. Fueled by frustration, I sought out the manager, in hopes of addressing this egregious lack of empathy and common sense. To my dismay, his response was nothing short of a cold dismissal, his words dripping with arrogance as he callously defended the unacceptable delay. When I attempted to file a written complaint, Mr. Manager's demeanor turned hostile, arrogantly brushing off my concerns with the audacious claim that any complaint would inevitably land on his desk, implying that he held absolute power over the resolution process. This encounter with Mr. Manager served as a stark revelation of the rot that had permeated the core of Jalsa Beach Resort's management. His dismissive attitude and disdain for guest welfare laid bare the stark reality that under his leadership, customer service was a mere facade, a hollow promise destined to disappoint. The shadow cast by Mr. Manager demeanor loomed large over the entire resort, tarnishing any hope of salvaging a positive experience. With such a leader at the helm, it became painfully clear that the seeds of dissatisfaction had been sown deep within the establishment, poisoning every interaction and eroding any semblance of hospitality. In conclusion, my stay at Jalsa Beach Resort was marred not only by the inadequacies of the facilities and staff but by the toxic culture perpetuated by Mr. Manager himself. This encounter stands as a testament to the depths of mismanagement and disregard for guest well-being that plague the resort. It is with a heavy heart and a sense of disillusionment that I declare Jalsa Beach Resort, under the reign of Mr. Manager, as a cautionary tale of customer service gone awry, a cautionary tale that I urge all to heed and avoid at all costs.

We read lots of mixed reviews on here about this hotel before we booked but were very pleasantly surprised. The staff here are so friendly and helpful and if you have any problem at all you only have to speak to them and they sort it out for you straight away. The rooms are lovely and clean, room towels changed every day. Clean pool towel every day too. Great choice of drinks at the bar and lovely snacks around the pool in the afternoon. The hotel grounds are amazingly well kept, it was just beautiful. The food was excellent, great choice for the size of the hotel. If you have any special dietary needs the hotel are more than happy to cater for you. We would definitely come back, we loved our time here.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We booked this hotel only about 6 weeks ago with our friend who was newly widowed. The staff quickly remembered us and our usual drink requests both at the bar and in the restaurant, which makes you feel a little special. Our friend was unwell one day and left a do not disturb on her door. Later that evening they sent her some fruit and bread/biscuits down and checked up on her. The food was really good, not a huge selection but that is a good thing in order to make your decision making easier. Absolutely lovely staff, from the bedroom maids, to the manager and everyone in between. Room was a great size, walk in shower and clean towels every day. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and great value for money. You are not paying Sandalls prices so don’t expect that service!!

The location is remote making it very calm and relaxing. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was average to good catering for the different nationalities. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

DON'T DO IT...I can't stress enough that enough, this resort is barely a 2 star, I was due to stay 12 nights for Christmas and new year lasted 36 hrs before we paid for a new resort and left, how on earth they are getting 5 stars reviews I do not know but what I can tell you is after I made a complaint at Christmas a few popped up in quick succession and I screenshotted a 1-star review that was suddenly deleted so make your mind up, photos and videos don't lie and I have 100s. Look at the dates on here of the photos of the resort, years out-of-date, it is now run down and needs new management firstly as Mr Sanjay Sewocksing says he addresses everyone personally but he left a lady called Vanessa to try and rectify a sinking ship, he was present and didn't know I knew who he was and walked away when I went to speak with Vanessa at the pool bar to tell her we would be leaving the resort immediately. Secondly, it needs a massive refurbishment, the The Rooms...Small, filthy, mouldy showers, the smell of sewage ( mentioned in many other reviews ) They had UK 3-pin plug sockets but the kettle had a 2 pin, I asked the chap cleaning rooms and he came in, wedged a pen in the top pin and forced the kettle lead in the socket I didn't use it. On arrival, we went to our filthy room, black hairs everywhere, and dirt up. the walls, the aircon not working, filthy and full of years of dust, the bathroom smelt of sewage, broken tiles, black mould and toilet seat stained with years of usage, I went to reception and mailed my agent, we were moved by Vanessa to another room, again it was filthy that was addressed with extra cleaning and was slightly better but it still smelt and shower still covered in black mould. Resort Beach ???? Put it like this, there is a patch of sand but certainly isn't a white sandy beach as advertised nor the crystal turquoise waters of the bay...Brown, full of rotten sea**** and other floating debris Dogs... an abundance of stray dogs, constantly barking, urinating, messing and just roaming around the resort, I have photos and videos of them urinating around the outside food area where the afternoon tea is served and at the main buffet entrance on Christmas day evening, boxing day morning (the day we left) I was woken by several of them in the early hrs fighting and sleeping on the sun loungers and one even spent a while chewing a bed to bits, There is around 8-12 roaming around, in one video I was taking to Highlight the barking, one is being sick while another is urinating up the fence, they sleep on the sun loungers at night, that I'll add are also filthy and the mattress topper stinks. Themed buffet ? 6 barely warm steel domes, veg boiled so hard the carrots had turned white, boiled rice ( only edible food) fish pasta, and 2 portions of meat, overcooked beef that looked like it had been cooked previously, stored and reheated and chicken, had some was undercooked and left it, salad and cold meat not covered, not cooled and had fly

Excellent staff, polite and extremely hardworking, even the manager helps the staff, which is for me quite refreshing. We had a well deserved break and the staff helped that happen. Rajan the Manager is an awesome man. Food was excellent, recommend All inclusive.

The hotel is very calm and relaxing. Not an extremly big choice in food however it is very tasty and the staff is beyond lovely and helpfull. Especially Manisha 🥰and a gentleman who I believe to be the owner or main manager who went out of their way to help us get better when we got a terrible sunburn! Rooms were always cleaned very well, however, there was sadly always a smell coming from the toilet. This is definitely a hotel meant for relaxation with a beautiful view and calm atmosphere where the only sounds you can hear are birds and the ocean. Regards Magda and Victoria

My experience started from reservation and ended there only.. I usually plan my vacation to 5* but based on my other friends circumstances and suggestions we planned for a day package to jalsa beach so i was really excited about this outing since we all work abroad and would catch up after 2years.. We were about 6-7 pax in total as we are all from the east coast and is meeting up just for a day package we chosed jalsa beach since it is very close from where we all live.. So i called the hotel and the receptionist picked up without acknowledging herself.. I didn't bother to ask who i am speaking with since i thought they should be knowing what they are doing.. So i questioned her ' what do you serve for lunch buffet or it is a la carte menu!' she answered with a ' i don't know and i won't be knowing as she doesn't take the reservation ' i said fair enough so i asked her ' can you transfer the call over to the reservation team so i can inquiry more and make the reservation please' so said the lady is not available at this time.. So i asked her if ever i am coming for the day package do you require down payments? She firmly said NO you can do it directly at the hotel on that specific day as it was the last friday and i knew for a fact that would be impossible for me to effective any payments as i had some other plans during weekends until Tuesday.. My only reason i called as i barely live in Mauritius i come for weeks only so i don't use anything except my CC here and neither i have those easy way to make transaction like 'juice' and all nor my friends does.. So i was the one who took the responsibility thats why i called to confirm when the receptionist said no down payment required i was happy and hang up the phone.. And called back after 2hrs to ask if i can speak to the reservation team to make the reservation she again told me the lady is still unavailable to send an email thats all is needed.. So i sent my email and then inquire about if they serve the buffet first then i got a response from Vanessa who confirmed they serve buffet style even for day package and then i asked her to process with the reservation.. And also asked for 50% down payment so i told her whatever the receptionist told me.. She replied back again that the 50% is a must.. So i asked to speak to someone higher and she gave the hotel number again.. So i called back on monday morning despite i was at the clinic and ask for the manager so the receptionist again answer the phone without acknowledge herself i had to ask who i am speaking with!! Then she goes i am chandini so i asked her do you require down payment to make a reservation for a day package she goes uhh uhh no uhh so i told her vanessa just sent an email asking for the down payment then she was like if she said then you need to do it.. That made me super upset since i wasn't not getting the correct information so i asked her can i speak to a manager she was like all the managers are in training there's no one absolu

Not long returned from this hotel and would advise the following- We arrived early morning and was greeted with a drink which was nice. We waited about an hour which was fine, while our room was prepared, as it was not ready for us. We were told that since all inclusive did not start until 2pm on the day, we would have to pay for a lunch - a little excessive for how much we ate the first day, and the fact that lunch was served until 2.30pm we could have gone at 2.05! or waited until the daily pancakes at 3.30 which are served at the pool - lesson learnt. The hotel and its rooms are as previously described as being tired. We had a seaview luxury room, it was far from luxury but it was clean although tired, and as all holidays we only use for showering and sleeping, so it was sufficient. The bed was Ok comfy wise, the shower roomy and clean. No major concerns, except the safe which was in the wardrobe, was not fixed so anyone could walk out with. Upon raising a concern it was fixed within 10 minutes so no complain there. Maids are very friendly and accommodating, changing towels on a daily bases. Nice flowers placed on well made beds daily. The food is good, plenty of choice and seems to be on a weekly menu of the same, so after the first week you know what to expect the second. The restaurant staff are so friendly and happy to help, waiting on drinks was first class - again no complaints. cooking alternative food if nothing suited. Pancakes and samosas were served by the poolside daily at 3.30 - but after a day or 2 of pancakes you get fed up, a change would be nice - for example pizza slices, cake, fresh fruit or toasted sandwiches. Being all inclusive, this would have been nice to have been available to order on request during the day, as no snacks other than meal times was available ie crisps or peanuts. Beach is small but sufficient, sunbeds are disinfected every morning, pool was a tad chilly as not heated, but always clean. there is a beach to the left side ( will come to that later) but that is in need of a clean up, rubbish everywhere, which does let the hotel down somewhat. The boat house is operated by 2 lovely lads, and kayaks, pedal boats and glass boat is available. However, since most of the time the lads dont do a lot they could clear up the beach. The hotel is a way from anything, so unless you hire a car or catch a bus dont expect to do any shopping. the local bus stops outside the hotel and goes to main towns. we hired a car which was cheap and found a godsend. All in all the hotel is nice, comfortable, needs a freshen up in areas, and the staff are faultless and friendly. hotel is only I would say a 3 star not a 4. NOW TO THE MAJOR ISSUE -- DO NOT VISIT IF A DOG LOVER AS WE ARE!!!! Dogs are a problem all over the Island. There are dogs on the hotel beach where the litter is. On our first day we came across several starving dogs and puppies, 3 puppies died and we witnessed the remaining puppies eating the de
