Muluwa Lodge

We enjoyed the welcome hospitality of Muluwa Lodge for a weekend breakaway from the city. Staff made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed every meal that was presented to us. We especially enjoyed the boma experience. Our room was very comfortable with an air conditioner reducing the temperature to our comfort needs. The outdoor shower was a pleasant experience. Our son did not enjoy his bed as the sleeping comfort was well below the rest of the standards of our overall experience. We also enjoyed the size of the lodge as we are not fond of too many guests around us, it felt warm and cosey. Regardless of the bad single bed, we will return to your lovely lodge for future breakaways!

From first arrival Tanya the Manager couldn’t have made us more welcome. We loved our stay (4 nights) and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the seclusion of the lodge and swimming pool. We were part of a tour group and our days were full. Two very early starts when visiting Kruger national park but lovely breakfast bags were prepared. Evening meals were excellent, one in the bbq area. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a Superior room which was lovely. Very comfortable beds and spacious accommodation. The only negative (and there is only one) is that WiFi is available only in the public reception/dining area. It is not available in rooms or tents. We coped with that and would definitely recommend this Lodge as a lovely place to stay at. Thank you Tanya and your team.

What a lovely play, I ever stayed on at Whiteriver I will come back at anytime very friendly staff members all of them I loved the Valentines theme on wednesday. Well positioned location if you want to have your perfect time with your partner, excellent place

This quiet and beautiful lodge has a beautiful setting and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Hidden in the depths of White River, Muluwa offers a wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of city life. The suites are ever so comfortable and the staff are just wonderful. What makes a trip for us is the food and Muluwa does not disappoint, I loved the creativity and use of local ingredients. Tanya the GM runs a great lodge and she and her staff went out of their way to be kind to my 88 year old Mum who was treated like a Queen. We spent 5 nights at Muluwa and totally relaxed - please do yourselves a favour and spend at least three nights here to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity that is here.

The best bush break SA has to offer, from the booking agent Michael Wright to the staff at the lodge - nothing was too much of a hassle to insure my stay was unforgettable. I go back often because of the service, the view and the peace.

Our stay at the lodge was exceptional. All staff was amazing and friendly, the rooms are beautiful and secluded with much needed privacy. The chef is definitely amazing. I have never had such an amazing spa treatment. I would recommend Muluwa to anyone. Thank you Muluwa for an amazing stay....

We stayed for 3 nights as part of an escorted tour of SA in the luxury tent lodges. After initial reservations, can highly recommend it. Super comfortable large bed, pillows. Great views over the valley. Hot, powerful shower, good bathroom facilities and tea/coffee. We received a lovely warm welcome from Tania (owner/manager). All staff were welcoming and friendly. A massive bonus for me having coeliac's disease (strict gluten free diet), Tania has a daughter who is coeliac so has a full understanding of the importance of this diet and cross contamination. The chefs and staff are also trained. They adapted dishes for me, provided gluten free breakfast packs for safari and even made me a gf sponge pudding. The food overall here was very good and they went out of their way to accommodate me. Breakfast buffet was very good. Thoroughly enjoyed the Braai, what a pleasure to eat lovely food outside under the stars. This was our base for visiting Kruger National Park which is approx 1 hrs 10 mins away. Would highly recommend a stay here and a big thank you to Tania and her team for such a wonderful stay.

It was a beautiful lodge, we had the the superior room and it was very spacious with a breathtaking view from the bath and outdoor patio! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond with everything and made us feel at home. The grounds were very peaceful and quiet and the best part of it, we were walking alongside the giraffes!

Relax , unwind and get spoiled ! Charlet number 5 is the unit to book .Breathtaking view from the bath , nice spacious room and patio, outdoor shower the works ! a more romantic space you won't find. From the food to the service, to the accommodation 10's all the way. This will be a trip you won't forget.
