I was with a large family group at Easter. We had a lovely meal on Saturday night. Ubaldo and his team were excellent - thank you. We met Ubaldo a number of times over the weekend and he was most helpful and friendly. I had communicated with Sarah to arrange this family gathering and she was excellent. It was a pleasure to deal with her. All our guests enjoyed the weekend. The bedrooms were lovely with comfortable beds. Imagine our surprise to have a bottle opener on the bathroom wall - great idea. Lovely view over the golf course.

Came in for a few picky bits in the terrace lounge and loved every moment of it. The waitress Alex was incredible, very efficient and always smiling. I come here often and came with my sister and her children. I was here last night too and Elaina and Ciara were fantastic. They took very good care of me and my husband but they were gone by the time I finished my dinner and never got the chance to say thank you and tip them. I hope this reaches both of them well.

We went into the terrace after the Dublin v Meath gaa match in Croke park. We come here very often with my family as the food is very consistant. We only wanted some small food to pick at and that's what we got. The food was amazing and we were served by an incredible waitress called Alex. She is an asset to the hotel and always takes such good care of us. We asked Alex who the chefs were and again it was aga and kasha. They made out food before and again and again incredible. She is an asset to the hotel and always takes such good care of us. Liz.

I recently visited The River Spa and had an amazing experience! Thank you to Niamh & Ugne for being incredibly friendly and attentive and getting me all checked in. I had the ultimate daydream package Thank you so much to Renee, it was so relaxing and the calming environment made it even better. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Highly recommend to everyone that needs a stress reliever.

Went here for a short Easter break as a family. We played the golf course on the Sunday and were amazed at the condition of the course, considering the amount of rain our country has endured during the winter months. Fairways were dry with plenty of roll on the ball. Greens immaculate and fast rolling. A few soft places in the rough, but this is to be expected. Bunkers all raked and well presented. It’s a flat course that’s easily walked. Our 12 year old son didn’t complain once. On course toilets are clean and stocked with required consumables. I would highly recommend a visit to the course. Especially if you’re fed up trudging through mucky sodden courses.

We are just a back from a 3 night stay with our three young children (all under 5). We got a great deal to include dinner, a pizza night and a picnic. Staff: The staff could not be faulted, they are all polite, friendly and try to be extremely helpful. The very nice gent who greeted us on arrival seemed to be new and didn’t give us directions to the rooms and also didn’t know anything about the deal we’d booked or how the pizza night worked. There was a bit of a language barrier too. On our second day we tried to book the picnic and two different members of staff didn’t know anything about it, we had to wait to the next day and ended up only getting the picnic at checkout. This was not the staff’s fault, there was a clear breakdown in communication to them and lack of training for new staff members. Room: We had a family room which had a great layout, very spacious and a balcony with a lovely view of the golf course. The bathroom was very dated with quite a worn bath but it was spacious and the shower heat/power was decent. Cleanliness: Top class (and I’m very fussy about this). Room cleaned well each day and water and toiletries replenished. Communal areas kept very well. The cleaners do a great job. Breakfast: Everyone’s idea of a nice breakfast is different. I personally was disappointed. The options are standard self-serve cooked items, a few cereals, quite a poor fruit salad and some mini pastries. It seems you can ask for specific things though as we got poached eggs and veggie sausages and I saw others ask for pancakes and porridge and the staff were very accommodating. The tea and coffee is also self serve meaning people are walking around with teapots of hot water which seems a health and safety risk? And the plates and cups seem like they’ve been used for years with permanent marks and staining. It just really lacks any luxury. Other food: We had pizza to our room and it couldn’t be faulted, delicious. We ate in Rococo and it was a lovely experience, great food and great service, thoroughly enjoyed. We also had dinner in the Terrace and again it was very nice and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Both restaurants had a good atmosphere too. Pool: This was by far the most disappointing. It has all the charm of a local council swimming pool and is used in a similar manner too. No natural light, drab tiles and it is surrounded by old function room chairs to accommodate the parents of all the swimming lessons going on so our first visit on the evening we arrived was very busy. The next two days the pool was closed due to excess chlorine, these things happen so that was fine although disappointing for the kids. It was open for our final morning so we went thinking it would be a bit quieter but instead there was a group from a local special needs centre using the pool. The pool served its purpose as our kids just wanted to splash around but if my husband and I had been at the hotel alone for a relaxing trip I would have been

I really enjoyed my stay at the Knightsbrook Hotel. We attended a family meeting, 50 of us in total and I can truly recommend it, the hotel is beautiful with amazing scenery, rooms are large and decorated nicely, there is a pool area where you can relax and the staff members are amazing, especially Andrea who was so attentive and provided an exceptional service. Thanks for the lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel to others. Caroline D

We arrived at check in at 3pm to be told that our room was not ready yet. (May I add neither was a lot of guests rms ready) we had to sit in reception to wait until 4pm! There wasn’t even a cuppa offered or drink while u waited. So we had 3 rooms. The 3 rooms key cards would hardly work so much so that someone came to change batteries on doors and they still wouldn’t work much! Up and dwn to reception to just get into room. Then in one of the rms the phone rang and lifted the phone to find handset in hand and wire broke (unable to talk or hear) then safe in room wouldn’t work either. We booked Terrace restaurant for dinner at 6.30pm. We arrived at 6.20pm and got seated. (Do not go by website menus) handed a menu and it was the worse menu I had seen in my life. There was no plain chicken and not even a steak option. Served by Nory his English was appalling. Ordered soup and it arrived 50 mins later luke warm and may I add the mains arrived with the appetisers together! There was nothing for mains that I wud eat not that I’m fussy but I asked for salad to be safe and it came out while others nearly finished their mains. One asked for pineo wine and he hadn’t got a clue had to get another staff member over just to get drinks order. Asked for coleslaw he didn’t know what I was saying. The supervisor had to come over to find out what I was asking for! Asked did we want desserts we said no we had enough. Couldn’t even complain as they couldn’t understand what we were saying. So had afternoon tea the second day this was the best! Served by a lovely, very professional young man called Keith (he is an asset to hotel) he is passionate and loves his job and loves the hotel. We told him our disastrous first day. He apologised on behalf of hotel. On talking to another member of staff he informed us as he was English speaking that hotel has recently got French and Spanish employees. I have no problems with this but he said that that everyone new is thrown in at the deep end. No training provided whatsoever! I asked at reception what time breakfast was and was told until 11am, my aunt asked not knowing that I had already asked and she was told 10.30 and then on info sheet in room it’s 10am! On spa cards on the tables in rooms it says one thing but you go to spa and it’s more expensive. Still waiting on manager to ring me back to discuss this. First place that you can’t get light bar snacks at all! No food served in bar. Shocking! Breakfast was excellent. Food in Rocco Restaurant excellent but 3 of us ordered salmon and it was the smallest bit of fish ever. You would think it was cut to share out and a piece of Hake on plate to compensate. Again lack of communication to and from waiter. Server arrived with wrong order. No idea what the chefs are doing in kitchen! Beds are so comfortable. Hotel is spotless but absolutely nothing around it to pass the time. Staff are not on same page with information and that’s if you can find one that can und

Would avoid this hotel at all costs, walls are like paper with children screaming the in the next room. The food was okay, nothing to write home about very expensive customer service was rubbish we were told that if the children didn't quited down by 11pm that we than can complain. The hotel itself has no atmosphere outside it looks like it has been painted in 10 years. The swimming pool was overcrowded with full of kids screaming and running around, and even in the jacuzzi, when there was a lifeguard on duty, nothing was said. The swimming pool is nothing but a depressing open water with very cold lighting. The changing room were dirty. There were no working hairdryers bare 1. Asked for a Piña colada to be told they didn't have the ingredients. If you want a relaxing weekend stay, this is definitely not the place to go
