The payment amount for this booking has been debited twice. Once from Trip.com and once from the hotel directly on site.
So, beware of this hotel. They like to collect twice and then act as if nothing happened.

We stayed here 2 or 3 times before. Very well located in the city centre, easy access to restaurants, clean, good beds, extensive breakfast, good shower, parking garage below the hotel. We had a pleadant stay.

I'd rate it barely 3 stars.
Nightstand was about 8x8 inches.not enough space for phone charger book tissues glasses etc. Toilet in separate room from sink and shower.

Nice hotel, not so easy to find though and the parking is the Q-Park which is literally next to the hotel.

Room was a good size with a comfortable bed. AC in the room was a nice touch. As was the large screen TV. Breakfast was very good, with a nice choice of hot and cold food. The check in and check out procedure was quick and easy. Location is perfect for walking around Mechelen

Upon arriving we informed the front desk that our toilet seat was not cleaned properly. We were told someone would come up to clean but I regret to say that no one did until the next day. Higher rates than usual for a Novotel with average facility, average cleaning and average service.
