Conveniently located from the train station (though we used Grab). Loved the availability of WatsApp with the hotel, they responded promptly. Despite 1 set of toiletries for 2 guest, seemed a little silly. The housekeeper are always very kind to provide more when requested. Excellent masseuse at the Spa on L2. Breakfast buffet is sumptuous though the 'top up' is slow after 9am. Centre point Centre shopping mall is just right behind the hotel.. with variety of f&b, shops & korean supermarket.

Location is perfect. 5mins walk to train station to go to Kuala Namu airport. Next to Center Point mall, many eateries, shopping and Lotte Mart is there. Room is cosy and bed is comfiortable. It will be better if the air cinditioning in the room is colder, probably more regular servicing and cleaning the air cond is required. Nice Chinese New Year deco in the hotel lobby and restaurant. Breakfast is goid with many varieties.

I booked 2 deluxe rooms with queen bed but was given 2 superior rooms with single beds. Reason being they'ee full and no rooms available. We were moved to deluxe room on second day. Amenities lacking, insufficient shower gel. No ear buds. Towels worn out. Rooms lack maintanence. Worn out and tired. Bwd sheet with stains The only upside is the location and a few friendly staffs.

I am very disappointed with my stay at Karibia Hotel. During check-in, the reception informed us that there were no non-smoking rooms available in the room category we had booked. As non-smokers, staying in a smoking room was not an option for us. We were therefore asked to upgrade to a higher room category and pay the additional cost. We felt that we had little choice but to accept the upgrade. However, after moving into the upgraded Deluxe Room, we discovered that the shower area had a serious drainage problem. The water outlet was clogged, causing water to accumulate and making it difficult to shower properly. We contacted the hotel and requested a room change. The hotel then moved us to a Superior Room, which was actually a lower room category than the Deluxe Room we had paid for. Despite this downgrade, we were still charged the Deluxe Room upgrade price. Overall, the experience was frustrating. We were asked to pay extra because the hotel could not provide the non-smoking room we originally booked, then encountered maintenance issues in the upgraded room, and finally ended up in a lower-category room while still being charged the higher rate. I hope the hotel will improve its room allocation process, maintenance standards, and customer service to prevent similar situations for future guests.

This is truly very central location, close to train station, 2 minutes walking from train station to and from airport, good wifi, good breakfast mostly caters to locals but decent breakfast, room number 209 has windows but looking at wall and to a/c no city or any view, just a wall and a/c I would recommend and repeat myself

So-so hotel but everytime I went to Medan will stay there for 1-2 days trip. Just walking distance to trainsl station to airport.

Karibia Hotel is located near the Kesawan area (the old city of Medan), making it easy to explore nearby attractions on foot. There are also plenty of artisan cafés around. If you’re here on a weekend, you can catch the car-free day event at Merdeka Walk, just a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel. Upon entering the lobby, you’re greeted with a pleasant scent that gives the hotel a luxurious vibe. The breakfast spread is quite good, featuring mostly Indonesian cuisine. The only downside is that there’s no smart TV. So if you’re planning a staycation and prefer to just stay in the hotel, it might not be ideal as there isn’t much to do; no swimming pool and no smart TV.
