Factory Lofts Hotel

The Factory Lofts in the Laureles neighbourhood of Medellin are clean, well maintained and with all basic amenities. Kitchen has a stove, microwave, and coffee machine, and a reasonable set of kitchen wares. There is a small hot-tub on the roof available for guests, and a very nice co-working space on the second floor. Building also has a nice coffee shop on the ground floor (SMASH), a BBC brew pub as well as a fine restaurant. Check-in and check out were easy, and staff were friendly and helpful. Down side, however, of the noise at night from the nearby La Setenta cannot be over stated. There were soccer games on 3 of the 6 nights we stayed as well as a holiday celebration on November 11. I have never experienced such noise through the night anywhere in all my 62 years. And I mean music and cars honking all night long through to 6am! It was impossible to sleep 3 of our 6 nights, and I mean impossible, even with earplugs..

The reception staff and management are very helpful. Room space and decor very good. Rooftop large jacuzzi quite comfortable. The ONLY problem with the hotel is its technical concept and absence of sound proofing while located in a very noisy area.

The location is great and can walk to many restaurants and shopping malls. It is, however, on a corner, and there is constant flow of traffic. Downstairs, there is a restaurant/bar on the weekends if you are looking to relax, on the lower rooms it can get noisy. All was great for us.

Very clean, new room! Excellent staff, they were able to answer questions and made a great restaurant recommendation. You can hear the dance music on Saturday night but they supply ear plugs which was perfect. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Booked on booking, said location is child friendly. On arrival was told ALL rooms are 2 person max, My 1 year old was considered 3rd adult. Told us all rooms are NOT safe for children. When we said it was shown as kid friendly they told us this was not true. When trying to rebook again (to make a point) with 1 year old was offered same room. Arrived at 9pm with my 1 year old asleep and I, 5 Months pregnant with my husband. Was told they called management and they cannot accommodate us due to bringing the 1 year old. Was not offered Taxi or any other option or help. This at 9pm in Colombia. WILL NOT RECOMMEND especially for parents. Not worth the price in comparison to their customer service.

I had a great time and the staff is wonderful! Sebastian at the front desk was very easy to work with! Great healthy eatery and bar next door! This is very close to the park and 70 that has a ton of bars and night life
