This is a gorgeous property in a quiet street, but still at a walking distance of the best bars and restaurants. Our room was very comfortable with a lot of attention to details and an incredible bathroom. The design of common spaces is very beautiful. The breakfast takes place in an outside deck surrounded by the lush garden with a lot of birds. It is excellent with fresh fruits, french delicious pastries and a choice of eggs. The staff was helpful and very attentive.

Let us not beat about the bush. This is not a hotel , it is an up market B&B. They only serve breakfast, and the staff are difficult to find at other times, As befits an up market B&B , the bedrooms are well and tastefully decorated. But many of the rooms face the road, and do not give the guests in these rooms the benefit of the greenery at the other side of the house shown in PR photos Also, as with a B&B, there is little service outside breakfast. To get a drink or a coffee borders on the impossible. They really do not want you sitting in the public areas in the evening The breakfast is reasonable, without being outstanding (one would expect an outstanding breakfast at this end of the market). Whatever the theory is on choice offered, in practice the staff serve what they wish to serve. Service is slow It really is the staff (or perhaps the lack of them) that let this place down. Young staff, poorly trained, find it easier to avoid guests , rather than serve them. And when they do come face to face with a guest, are unable to cope with whatever situation they are expected to cope with. I note that these are not just my views, but most 2024 reviewers have reached the same conclusion. I would hope that the management (wherever it is hiding) takes note of the 2024 reviews and remedies the deficiencies before their business disappears

We stayed in the Costa Rica room--which is in the "second" house across the street from the main building. Our room and bathroom were nice with a small balcony. A downside is that there are many steps to get from the street to our room and, because it was in the second house, we had to go to the main house to have staff unlock the door in the evening. A nice upgrade would be if guest keys would open the front door as well. Like everywhere in Colombia breakfasts were large and good--on a very pretty indoor/outdoor area in the main building. The location is in a very nice neighborhood close to many bars and restaurants though--like most of Medellin--it was very hilly making even short walks more challenging, especially in hot weather. But ubers were plentiful, clean and inexpensive.

This hotel was such a gem. From the moment we entered we felt we were visiting close friends. The staff were warm and welcoming. The house/hotel was beautifully appointed and very cozy. Amenities in the room were top notch. The breakfast was simple but fresh and plentiful. The location is perfect on a very quiet street. I never felt unsafe. If we return to Medellin, this is where we would stay!

Colombia is a wonderful country to visit. Medellin is an exciting and vibrant city which has justifiably become a 'must see' attraction. Alas, this hotel is not the place to stay if you are expecting a boutique hotel with high standards. For starters: no turn-down service in the evening! Other reviewers have commented in detail on the poor service level (with one guest, Amanda, Dec 2021, being reduced to tears) and the lack of security which is an issue in Medellin for obvious reasons. I would add that it is not especially comfortable. The annex in which we were located was up an enormous flight of steep, concrete stairs. The room is quite basic - with a bed apparently made out of rock, quite the hardest I have ever slept on. Towels were tired and need replacing. Breakfast, which should be a peaceful affair, was reminiscent of a railway station with one clearly harassed staff member struggling to serve all the tables crowded closely together in a tiny area. Sometimes the breakfast experience was accompanied by the noise of cleaners and gardeners at work in close proximity. Biting insects too probably because the grounds contain some lush foliage. On the plus side, it is very close to some wonderful bars and restaurants. And storage space in the room was generous with plenty of clothes hangers in the wardrobe. There must be better hotel options in Medellin. Worth a bit of research.

This would be a gem of a hotel if only there were properly trained, friendly staff. Other reviews have mentioned this so it is clearly not just an unfortunate incident. My stay here was ruined by the lack of staff and those that were on duty simply had no training, nor was there any evidence of good management or leadership. This hotel is expensive for Colombia and guests deserve better. Also Medellin is not a safe city and this hotel stretches over two properties, one of which had no staff in attendance and only one key to the doors held at reception with a request to leave the doors open during busy times. In returning late at night the door and the gate to the road were left wide open.

Not really up to par at this price point. Confusing access, No hot water or use of vacant room with hot water. Mediocre breakfast. Staff not very helpful in a variety of circumstances. The room was just ok and not as comfortable as we have experienced elsewhere.

Absolutely loved this hotel! We were a little worried about the lack of air conditioning, but fans were provided in the room and we were very comfortable. It's hard to believe how quiet this place is being so close to the bars and restaurants of El Poblado. And as many other guests have shared, the breakfast area and the breakfast itself were amazing. If/when we return to Medellin, we'll definitely stay here again.

This "hotel" is actually two beautiful houses across the street from one another. We stayed in the "one across the street'. The rooms were lovely and unique with gorgeous common spaces. there were a ton of steps so it would not be good for anyone with mobility issues. It was also a little more complicated not to have breakfast or the concierge in our house. But really it was a few steps away. Breakfast is simple but fresh and good. We had them do laundry for us which was very convenient. They have coffee and tea and lemonade available all day. The location is fantastic. Just down the hill are fabulous restaurants and La Provenza. We did not go to bars or clubs but if you wanted to, they were a few minutes away. The cleaning staff was fantastic. This was the least "fancy" place we stayed in Colombia but it was perfect for a family visit because we had plenty of spaces to hang out together and play games. Kind of a cross between a hotel and an air b&B
