Very friendly staff, can get early check in with great hand written birthday card and 2 birthday hats upon my birthday.
Nice and stylish renovation.
Spacious room which I can put an extra crib for my baby.

Friendly staff, quite helpful. Room size is decent. Jin Bar has really good food. The hotel offers green stay option which is nice.

Good location within walking distance to many places such as Spencer Outlets/ Southern Cross, Flagstaff station, Queen Victoria Market, Chinatown. Also within free tram zone.
Check in was a breeze and they allowed check in early if the room is available. Frontdesk staff were nice and efficient.
Room was comfortable except it looked into the apartments besides. The gym has a direct view into my room so it was uncomfortable to leave the curtains open even though there wasn’t much of a view from the 5th floor.
Breakfast was decent but for the two mornings I was there, they only changed from tater tots to hash brown while keeping all else same. So if I stayed longer, that might have been disappointing.
Room did not have bedroom slippers as with many other hotels these days which is fine. But the guest service said the hotel ran out of them and had to make a request to their office to arrange a delivery. Of course the slippers did not turn up during my stay.
I would stay there again but will bring my own slippers.

I had one of the most unforgettable stays at Dorsett! From the moment I arrived, the team went above and beyond to make my birthday truly special. The hotel exudes luxury, with elegant decor and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and the service was nothing short of impeccable. An exceptional experience I’ll always remember.

The location is fantastic, located by the Darling Harbour, you can reach the Aquarium and Darling Harbour within 3-5 minutes. You can also access Sydney CBD (QVB etc.) easily.
For the staff, they are super friendly and helpful. Despite I didn’t request a daily room cleaning service, they tidied my room every day. If you don’t want to have such service, you can definitely require not to too.
The view of my room is amazing, you can enjoy the view of Darling Harbour. And one more thing which I found quite important is that the room has a perfect soundproof. Since it’s winter in August, it’s quite cold in Sydney. The lobby has very warm temperature and cozy vibe. However, the room’s air conditioning didn’t provide a warm temperature that I satisfied, the room temperature remains between 18-20 °C during our stay, it would be perfect if it’s like 23-25 °C. And this was the only down side I can think of, other than that, I had a perfect stay!

It is in a good location in Melbourne and close to transport. Rooms are cosy and well appointed. Lots of hidden restaurants that are actually really good.
