The Very good: The members of staff contacted me politely by text to inquire about my stay. I was able to tell them that the thermostat in my room hadn't been working, and they sent someone up to fix it on Christmas day, which I was very appreciative of.
The bad: perhaps the hotel was short-staffed, but at neither check-in nor check-out did a bellman help with my luggage (and I had a lot, as I was in town to see family for Christmas).
