City Limits Hotel Apartments

The hotel's location is excellent, just about 100 meters walk from Parliament train station, so you don't have to worry about struggling with luggage as the path is flat. It's not a large hotel, with only a few rooms on each floor. While the soundproofing isn't great, it's very quiet – at least, it was during our entire stay. We booked a triple room, and it was much larger than we expected, with sufficiently big beds. I had read the description said 80cm wide, but they were much wider in reality. What I loved most was the in-room kitchen facilities: a microwave, a sink, cabinets (with mugs, cutlery, plates, etc.), and a dining table! On our second day, we bought instant noodles from a nearby supermarket, expecting them to come with a fork like in China, but they didn't. Just as I was feeling frustrated, I pulled open a drawer and was delighted to find cutlery! The hotel is right in Chinatown, making dining very convenient. It's also close to tram stops, bus stops, and subway stations. Most of Melbourne's attractions, including the University of Melbourne, are within the free tram zone. The hotel's cleanliness was also very good, and the internet worked perfectly! If I visit Melbourne again, I will definitely stay here!

The room felt a bit chilly and the air conditioning wasn't working very well. Overall, it was just okay. I didn't extend my stay and moved to a nearby hotel, which was much better for only a few dollars more.

The hotel is quite small, with only 4 rooms per floor. It's a basic budget hotel, and the facilities are a bit old. The bathroom is tiny. However, the front desk service was very enthusiastic, and its biggest advantage is the excellent location. Right outside, you're in Chinatown, which is super convenient for dining.

The front desk service was truly excellent! Even though the hotel is small, the service really made up for it. Both shifts of front desk staff were polite and proactive. The room was quite spacious, despite being a bit older, and incredibly clean – not a speck of dust anywhere. Stepping out, you'll find coffee shops and restaurants right away, and transportation is super convenient, just a few minutes from the train station.

This place is super convenient! There's a bus stop just a 5-minute walk away, and in May, all bus rides were free. Even when they're not free, you can tap your VISA card for just $1, which is really handy. There are tons of food options nearby; definitely try the coffee shop next door, it's pretty good! The Vietnamese restaurant across the street has great special drinks, but be warned, their pho and lamb stew are way too salty!
