The hotel is on a hillside overlooking the lake. Several Jacuzzis in the meadow. You can sit in the warm water, admire the surrounding landscape - mountains, lake...
The hotel is an agrotourismo. For breakfast, honey from our own apiary, berries grown in our own garden.
There are many beautiful places within walking distance.

We decided to spoil ourselves and chose a room facing the lake with a jacuzzi. The location was conveniently close to the road, but quiet due to being raised above it and therefore gave us an amazing view. The room was very comfortable, clean and large. Breakfast was terrific with plenty of choice. The staff were helpful and friendly, particularly Elena and Alberto on reception. We had a fabulous time - thank you.

We booked a room with twin beds, letti gemelli, with a view of the lake, many months before our stay. We arrived at 13:30, before checkin time, so I wasn't surprised, when we told that the room wasn't ready. We didn't have issue with this and went to visit the Sacred Mountain of Orta.The receptionist confirmd a twin bed at 13:30. When we returned after 16:00 we were told the room wasn't ready yet. When we got our room, it did not have twin beds. The receptionist had the nerve to tell us that it had twin beds. Then she tried to give us another room with a view of a wall, not the lake. When I insisted, they finally made up our room with twin beds, which was after 17:00, even though they say the rooms are available at 15:00. The difficult check in, gave us a poor feeling about the hotel.

From the moment I booked communication was excellent, even when we were delayed arriving, we were informed how to enter the hotel. I booked a triple room which consisted of a balcony, with two sun beds and a table with two chairs, the room comprised of one double bed and a single, as a party of three adults we had plenty of room. The room was very clean, although we were only ever given two large towels. The view from the balcony was stunning. It is a 25 minute walk into San Gailio, 35 min drive to Stressa (lake Marggorie). There is a small public beach and a paid beach within walking distance. Breakfast was the best I have experienced in any hotel I have stayed in. We dined once at the hotel (I would advise you to book, as it can get very busy), we throughly enjoyed the food. We also ordered a take out pizza which was also extremely good. It will be hard for me to ever eat pizza again in my home country.

The Hotel Bocciolo was perfect for our two night Orta San Giulio stay. The walk into the old town and to Sacre Monte wasn’t difficult to walk. The room was clean and functional. We had a lovely view of the lake. Breakfast was wonderful. I had a great pizza for lunch and a steak for dinner.

It is very good hotel, exellent for the price. Beautiful view from the balcony, walkable distance to Orta San Julio, 40 min drive to Lago Maggiori. The room was clean and big, the restaurant is very good. I only should mention that in our room the Internet connection was very weak.
