Deqin Yubeng Ruoguanjing Inn

The walk from the entrance of Xiayubeng Village to this hotel is 2 kilometers, a 230-meter climb. From the Meilixue location, continue uphill until you see the inconspicuous sign. The walk to the glacial lake is also quite a distance. The room facilities and views are generally better than those in Xiayubeng. For a similar price, I felt like I was staying in a farmhouse. The fact that this hotel also offers body lotion is a big plus. I had dinner there, and it was quite good. The B&B has a little black cat who greets and sees me off every day. It even watched me from afar on the slope when I left.

The view from the room window is arguably the best in Shangyubeng. Pros: Excellent location, high up in Shangyubeng, with unobstructed views of the snow-capped mountains. Excellent value. The room includes an electric blanket and floor heating, and I personally think the view is worth it.

Staying at this hotel in Yubeng was a real surprise! Snow-capped mountains and forests are visible outside the window. Opening the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by a breathtaking view shrouded in mist. This immersive natural experience was truly soothing. The room was immaculate, and the bedding was spotless. The amenities were also very complete, including automatic curtains, a smart toilet, a hair dryer, a clothes drying rack, and even a shoe dryer. The hot water was plentiful, and a warm shower instantly soothed my hiking fatigue, allowing me to sleep soundly. The owner was incredibly welcoming and proactively shared hiking tips. The breakfast was plentiful, including hot rice noodles, which warmed my stomach and made for a wonderful start to the day. It was such a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Yubeng!
