Private rooms are not at all like the pictures advertised Booked via Hostelworld but needed to change my booking due to flight delays (did this privately via WhatsApp) and the Hostelworld deposit wasn’t deducted from the room cost. Strange atmosphere with random people sleeping on the sofa outside our room instead of inside dorms. WiFi didn’t work at any point in our room. We moved after one night and for the same price there are plenty of nicer hotels/hostels in the area.

Metro Hostal is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. It's location in Roma is a great neighborhood with lots to do and great restaurants around. The building itself is great with very comfortable dorms and private rooms depending on your preference. I stayed in the 10-bed dorm for most of my stay but also in a private room one night when I wanted some privacy, both were clean and cozy. The rooftop restaurant and bar are great and a great way to wake up and enjoy breakfast!

My partner & I really enjoyed the hostel. The people really make the place, everyone is super cool & friendly. The balcony is the place to meet like minded people from all over the world & share cold beers & conversation

Unfortunately, there are several reasons why the experience was terrible: - They overcharged us and have not refunded our money (despite saying they were going to do it) - They cheated us with a tour - We saw a rat in the common area from the ground floor. Fatal
