The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The pool on the roof is great! The gym is a little small but there are lots of workout places/classes close by and you can get a discount through the hotel. I would def stay here again

Kimpton south beach exceeded my expectations with designated beach area, free ride within south beach area, staff very helpful and professional. The room was very clean and provided beach bag and umbrella which are nice to have and above and beyond compare to other hotels. They also added a personal touch to my stay with a birthday cake and a bottle of wine for free which is above and beyond. Only downside is the location is further up closer to mid beach tha. South beach bjt trolley stops right in front of hotel and a taxi/uber is reasonably priced to south beach. Highly recommend!

The hotel environment and facilities are more like a business hotel, not suitable for vacation. The front desk is very small. Although there is a terrace swimming pool, the lounge chairs look very dirty. The front desk was very serious when checking in, and there was no sense of relaxation. The scenery outside the window is average, and you can see a little sea from a distance. The hotel soundproofing is average, and you can hear people talking and watching TV in the next room. The hotel is not cleaned thoroughly, and there is a half-bottle of juice left in the refrigerator.
The advantage is that the hotel has a happy hour every afternoon where you can drink for free, and the front desk has a long-term supply of lemonade.
In addition, there is not a shuttle bus to the beach every day, only from Thursday to Sunday, so you have to take a taxi to the beach. It is close to Lincoln Road, within walking distance, convenient for shopping, and opposite is Trader Joe's for buying water and snacks.

My stay was wonderful. I believe they need to clean the bathrooms better, the sink water pressure was VERY low, and the it had mildew around it. Also, the shower heads must be cleaned better. It was dirty with dirty (yellow) build-up. The beds were a bit hard, and requires more blankets than sheets.
