"Great apartment hotel with very nice rooms and good location. I normally stay in this part of Middelburg but this was the first time I tried this hotel. The only downside was that breakfast opened 8:00 but I guess most people make their own breakfast in this type of hotel. Location is good with parking nearby by the street and a short walk into the centre. Also some alternatives to get a drink close by."

"The hotel rooms were of a high standard. The food and service in the restaurant was also of high quality. In addition, we enjoyed good service in the bar and terrace area. We stayed here for two nights, with two other couples, along with our e-bikes so we could spend each day on a different tour. The bike shed in the car park worked very well and we enjoyed some excellent tours in the area."

"Visiting Middelburg for a few days with my cousin we decided to book the Poorthuys which was a very good choice . The B&B is located near the old center of Middelburg and it was very easy to go different directions to explore this nice Province . The rooms and the beds were excellent , it is a very quiet area to have a great sleep and the breakfasts every morning were amazing , very well balanced and a touch different every day . The owner and her staf were welcoming and very pleasant and hands on helpful . We can really recommend 't Poorthuys and hope to be back one day"

"Regular visitors to Middelburg but first time at this hotel. My son and his family live a few minutes walk away that's why we chose this hotel. Situated across a canal from train station made it easy to find. Very friendly welcome. The place was very clean with good facilities. Room fairly spacious with a view of the canal. Bathroom excellent with everything you need in it . A Tv and coffee machine topped it off. Breakfast buffet excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stop there again. Not forgetting the excellent choice of beers in the bar."

"Top-notch hotel, ideal for visiting Middelburg and, by extension, Zeeland. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are excellent. Breakfast is served in the basement, so you do need to be able to climb stairs, though. I've stayed there twice already, and I'll definitely be back for a third. There's also parking nearby, and there's a storage solution for your bicycles."
