Great hotel. Small cozy room. Nice modern bathroom. Everything very clean. Nice bed. Free bottled water in the room every day, Very friendly staff Nice extensive breakfast. Located in the center and opposite the tram stop. Only disadvantage: very warm room, no air conditioning.

We stayed there during Easter weekend 2024 and we were pleasantly surprised. We got a room on the eighth floor with a view of the dunes and the town and a side sea view. What a view! There were even small gifts in the room for us for the Easter weekend. This was a pleasant surprise. Our little dog was also more than welcome. The breakfast was great. It is a buffet with everything you could wish for, plenty of choice from various rolls and breakfast pastries, all kinds of toppings, eggs, yoghurt, fruit, honey, various fruit juices, coffee, tea, etc. It was systematically replenished. We certainly did not lack anything. The staff was friendly through and through. Nothing was too much for them. It was nice that we were allowed to have breakfast with our four-legged friend in a separate lounge. In Hotel Excelsior you feel more than at home. We will definitely come back! The hotel is a gem located on the beach in Middelkerke.

Hotel well located almost along the dike in Middelkerke, quiet restaurants, shops, ... Parking close to the hotel as well as the tram. The rooms are clean, pleasant, quiet, complete (mini-bar, TV, bathroom and toilet, tables and chairs, Wifi, linens and toiletries). The bedding is comfortable, the breakfast is plentiful.

The reception at reception was really pleasant and friendly. You feel welcome as a guest. The receptionist also made a lot of effort to help us with information and suggestions for our stay. The rooms are really clean, but you should only take the slightly larger rooms as otherwise it gets really cramped, especially in the bathroom. The location of the hotel is also very good, but in the season it gets really tight with parking spaces and the hotel itself doesn't have any. The only negative point for us was the price of breakfast as we eat a cup of coffee and maybe a roll or croissant in the morning.

Hotel facing the sea. Has a family suite ideal with 2 children +1 baby. Buffet breakfast included, sea view. Clean. A little noisy. Only one bathroom. Far from the center of Ostend. Benny at the reception is very nice. He even advised and booked a restaurant for us. I recommend.

At the beginning of April the weather was really miserable, but football brought us to the corner. The hotel is beautifully located right on the beach. Check-in was friendly and quick. Our room was rather small and had a view of the courtyard, but that was OK for one night. The bathroom was very nice and modern. The breakfast with a sea view was varied and of good quality.

Hotel is located on the beach. Very friendly welcome by receptionist Ben. Rooms are not big but big enough. Furnishing is simple but modern and clean. Nice is the wooden floor and bottle of water that is there. Negative points are that the rooms on the street side are very warm and you wake up early in sunny weather. It also seemed like there was underfloor heating in the bathroom. We always like it when there is a kettle in the room so we think it should be put on. Breakfast room looked nice. Did not have breakfast because of price.

Reception by the lady very friendly but the male colleague of the evening shift was arrogant and unfriendly !!! Room and breakfast in order. Clean bathroom, for us a big minus point because of the arrogance of the man!
