Highly recommended, hosts so friendly and welcoming , as were the locals , lovely little pub and accomodation, will defo stay again.. As for the food, wow, so many choices and great specials , went for the steak which was superb.. Superb Hospitality, many fine ales and food, what’s not to love

If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. The staff are very friendly and have a great local knowledge for whatever you are looking for. Really enjoyed my stay , thank you .

Great location and a friendly, welcoming place to stay

We rang and booked a table for 11! We got there and were greeted by a friendly bar man who was also very helpful. They had the table ready and even kids toys which sort of kept them quiet 👀😂. Most of us had the Sunday Roast and it was perfect, tasted great and the right size. We will be back minus the kids 😁. Thanks to all the staff

Friendly reception and nice room with good shower

Stayed one night whilst working in the village. The pub is full of character. I had a double room that was presented beautifully, clean and great facilities (shame to waste it on work, would of happily stopped off here with my wife). Spent a couple of hours in the evening in the pub with lovely food washed down with some drinks. Service was very friendly. Highly recommended and would stop in again if passing. Thanks again
