The worst hotel we've ever seen, please avoid it. It's a pity because the place is pretty and the bungalows well appointed, but : - the rooms are dirty, very very dirty - no toilet paper - impossible noise due to poor insulation - breakfast (included in the price) almost non-existent! An employee went to buy a packet of sandwich bread and some jam because we insisted (normally the "promised" breakfast is much more complete). - no water at all for showers and flushes, and no one solved the problem in 2 days, despite our requests - we felt we were disturbing the staff every time we asked for something (blowing, etc.) - we asked for a scooter one evening for the next morning. The next morning the staff had to phone because it hadn't been done. - the restaurant is not clean and there's not much to eat (several dishes were unavailable) A real nightmare we finally changed hotel and are much better off at "Onong's homestay".

As part of our tour of North Sulawesi, we stayed at the Mountain View Resort for 2 nights. You basically know in advance what quality you can expect from accommodation in less developed regions. So I don't want to complain. However, it is a shame that the heat-sensitive wooden houses are not equipped with at least a ceiling fan. The bathrooms smell musty, which is also due to the temperatures. Overall, the cleanliness is OK. The breakfast is very spartan, the restaurant offers a small menu of local cuisine. Cheap and OK. I'm only giving it 3 stars because I think the name of the resort "Resort & Spa" is inappropriate. I don't understand where the addition of "spa" comes from. It's blinding. Even simple accommodation can shine and have a flair. Unfortunately, the Mountain View Resort doesn't have that.
