"The listing mentions a sauna and an indoor swimming pool. Those are permanently closed, because they are a different facility (so even as a guest you have to pay extra for them) and the rentee gave up. There is no AC (but a portable fan), no ventilation (just open a window to a busy road) and the breakfast might be plentiful but the quality is average. The chicken was very dry. They also sell breakfast to tour bus groups, so if you go there between 7 and 8, you might have to wait in line behind 2 busses worth of people. The internet is split between all guests, so connection is very poor. Also hotel is located directly across an event hall where lots of children events are being held, so the hotel is mostly filled with school groups. Basically, not enjoyable stay. Only go here if you have no better alternatives."

"The Minsk Monastery Hotel. I stumbled upon it by chance. It's just steps away from Minsk's famous attractions: Freedom Square, the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, the Opera and Ballet Theatre, Trinity Suburbs, and Tears Island. Instead of just visiting the sights, stay in the monastery; it's quite nice. The downsides are that you need to live in harmony with nature (ants crawl around on the desks on the first floor), and you also need to learn to be respectful to your neighbors (you can hear people talking upstairs, and your neighbors watching TV and showering). But! It's in the city center! Prime location! And the price! What more could you ask for! I recommend trying it when traveling to Minsk. Turn left outside to find Yangzi Chinese Restaurant, a 16-minute walk to Miss Li Chinese Restaurant, and there's also a Socialist KFC and Burger King. Everything you could want is there."
