Savoy Hotel Elminya

Location: Highly praised for its central position in El Minya, near the train station, and proximity to local attractions.

As director of an archaeological field project in the region, my project team and I had the very good fortune to stay for one month at this lovingly-restored, historic hotel in the center of Minia City. The architecture of the Savoy is simply magnificent and the rooms themselves are fully renovated to a very high standard - they are spacious, extremely comfortable, and meticulously maintained. What made our stay here really special were the people who own, manage, and staff the Savoy. We were treated like family! It was so nice to return each afternoon from our field site to the warm and welcoming smiles of everyone at the hotel. We felt as if we were in our own home! Lovely, delicious meals prepared especially for us - even boxed lunches to take with us into the field! Directing this field project is logistically complex, with things coming up every week that required my attention. However, I could always rely on the hotel for their amazing help and support. And not only for project-related matters, but also for personal ones as well - such as the time my dental crown broke while I was out in the field and the hotel management arranged for me to have immediate care from a local dentist in Minia City. I will also never forget the wonderful surprise party that the hotel held for us on the eve of our departure (see photos). Thank you Savoy for the beautiful memories! I very much look forward to returning to the hotel with my team for our next field season!

We stayed in this outstanding hotel 2 days ago ,Actually we are very pleased with their hospitality. The hotel has a luxurious decor, high-quality furnishing, pristine cleanliness, courteous staff, and exceptional personalised services –It has a decoration that mixes between the classic and the modern. I also recognized that many historical famous characters used to stay their long ago like President Anwar El Sadat and the famous Egyptian writer Abas El Aqad. They provided a smooth efficient check in. Bell captain who escorted us to the room was very friendly and provided us with a lot of information. Special thanks to Mr Ziad and Mr. Ahmed from the managment for being aware of our requirements ,he made our stay memorable and they left a very nice impression as they made us feel Home away from home ,They were all the time decent to us . Thanks again to the team that made our stay a good time, comforting and secure. We are sure that when we return to El Minya, we will go back to this glorious hotel . Our little child enjoyed very much as well.... I would like also to thank Restaurant ,Reception and housekeeping for their courtesy. The room was well cleaned,well equipped and spacious. The food was also delicious and Tasty I would like to thank them once again for their Hospitality. I'm so excited to share my experience on social media about this lovely and wonderful hotel as they really deserve it and to recommend this hotel to everyone.
