Pretty hotel and friendly helpful staff. Easy walk from train station, to square and multiple restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

2 nights in central Modena
A very pleasant hotel near the city centre and the station. Very close to the main museums
Room was small but very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices

)K, the only thing we really enjoyed at the Estense was the breakfast. When we arrived, we were given rooms on the fourth floor that smelled of smoke. The rugs were very dirty and laundry area doors were left open. We complained and were given new rooms on the lst floor which were much cleaner. Antonio greeted us but seemed to have little interest in making us feel welcome.
The hotels ******* rating is a 3 but I would give them a 1.
