North Muju Hotel

The hotel's location is relatively quiet. While dining options require a few minutes' walk south, this contributes to a peaceful environment. However, the rooms offer virtually no soundproofing, so noise from other rooms – whether it's doors slamming or people talking loudly – is easily heard. True to its name, 'Muju' (Wooden Dwelling), the hotel boasts unique decor. The courtyard is also nicely arranged, featuring rabbits and various plants. Breakfast was very simple, offering a few small side dishes. The soy milk had a distinctive, somewhat savory flavor, and the date cake was quite good. The owner was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. They even gave my child a small gift when we left.

The owner clearly has excellent taste, evident in the hotel's environment, facilities, and decor. Not only is it clean, comfortable, and offers great service, but walking into the small courtyard gives you an immediate warm, home-like feeling. We specifically chose the large 'kang' room to experience sleeping on a traditional northern heated bed, and it was incredibly comfortable. For breakfast, they cooked us two delicious bowls of wontons. As a wonderful parting gesture, they gave us a customized hotel fridge magnet, which made for a perfect souvenir and a lasting memory of our trip to Beijicun. Highly recommended!

The room was spotlessly clean and wonderfully warm, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious, with the *youtiao* (fried dough sticks) and side dishes being particularly outstanding. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming.

The room was impeccably clean and tidy, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. We particularly enjoyed the meticulously cultivated pumpkins and crops in the spacious courtyard. Breakfast featured delicious farmhouse-style specialties, and the à la carte options were both reasonably priced and tasty. A special commendation goes to their exceptional service: I accidentally left a shirt in my room, and they not only proactively called me about it but also promptly mailed it back to me. I was truly touched by their thoughtfulness!
