Classic resort in 90s. Good location.

This review covers just the restaurant - probably the largest one in this Chinese style theme park town. Service, food ok and prices are reasonable. The menu is wide and comprehensive. The view over the lake/reservoir is probably one of of the best in the town.

The good is that the view over the lake is beautiful and it gets even better at night. The rooms are comfortable with tv, ac ( not needed this time of year) and hot showers. Also a spacious balcony with the swinging chairs and a small table and two stable chairs. But the restaurant staff is terrible. They don’t make you feel welcome at all. The food came out cold. It is not made fresh to order. I asked for a beer and they just pointed at the refrigerator. Many of the staff are children as in teenagers so I guess I can’t expect much. But do yourself a favor and skip the restaurant. As far as the area goes, it is small and not much to do. Great fir a get away but I would say no more than two nights. You can walk t(e entire lake in 40 minutes and all the stores sell exactly the same thing. While our room is decent there are a bunch of pigeons living in the roof and they come and go all day and night so there is constant banging so expect restless sleep. Personally I would choose lee wine resort if you can afford or one of the smaller establishments.

Stayed 2 nights in their deluxe building in late Jan and our room had a balcony! Only 3 things to take note of: 1. aircon had a weird smell but since we went in winter we didnt use it cos it was v cold 2. toilet is a wet toilet 3. stairs to the rooms r very steep and it takes effort to climb up n down everyday other than that the room was clean, offered great views and also came with breakfast. nice hotel for the price

The hotel has spectacular views over the lake. Our room was basic with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast choice was limited to mostly Asian with one pan of scrambled eggs. Unfortunately, all hot dishes were stone cold and left uncovered. No cereal, toast, or juice. The coffee tasted like mud, with no fresh milk. Only powdered milk or condensed milk. Thankfully we saw another guest had a serve of sweet pastry rolls. We had to ask for them because they were not advertised or offered. So, we did not go hungry. There are numerous steps down to breakfast therefore we drove our car down to street level. Let them know if you need an easy access room.
