Nothing was too much trouble for our host, Kata. She was very helpful and charming. The apartment was clean and well resourced- everything we needed was there. Washing and ironing facilities were downstairs. Our towels were replaced after four days but we had been given loads plus towels for the swimming pool. The pool was used only by us for the entire stay and had eight loungers under a canopy plus two inflatables. Cilipi is quiet apart from the occasional flight taking off but if you love planes it's an excellent place to see them takeoff. The gardens were beautiful as was the outside seating area which we only used on our last day as we ate on our balcony. Again, outside area has a canopy so is shaded and is surrounded by an abundance of plants. Really lovely. Kata gave us the bus times for Dubrovnik - there are four buses each day-and it was a scenic trip just going by bus which took just over half an hour. We also went to Cavtat which is absolutely a must do- less busy than Dubrovnik, beautiful swimming areas and seaside restaurants with amazing sunsets. Cilipi to Cavtat is possible by taking two buses but we returned using Ivan Taxi in Cavtat-15 euros and great service. We also took a boat tour from Dubrovnik to Cavtat which avoided using the bus, Cavtat was so beautiful we went twice. The apartment is a few steps away from the bus stop so very convenient for transport. I would definitely visit here again and Kata was lovely as was the apartment. Cilipi is a great place to relax- there's a fab pizza place and a bar next to the village square. It's really idyllic and the apartment and service really made this an excellent holiday.
