This is a case of you pay for what you get, but for the same price, we stayed in much nicer hotels and guest houses in Tunisia throughout our trip. The positives; the hotel is affordable and in a decent location, within walking distance of the beach, the pool is also great and the food was good. The downsides; The hotel is very outdated and aged, the bedding cushions, bed spreads, napkins and table cloths were all stained and worn (the cotton bed sheets were fine however). Some of our bathroom towels were not washed and cleaned at all, our hand towel still had the previous guests make up wiped on it. The aircon in our room didn't work, so we had to sleep with the balcony sliding doors open, which made for a nosey nights sleep. The reception staff and some of the other staff were professional and friendly, but in the main, the waiters and kitchen staff treated you like they were doing you a favour, some didn't even bother to help when asked - like for a menu or a drink for example. Some of the attitudes I saw towards other guests, was very poor. When we paid for our dinner, our 35 Tunisian Denar meal, suddenly became 45, clearly the rest was going to be pocketed so we refused to pay the extra fee that came out of no where. To be brutally honest, that was the worst customer service we had experienced in a hotel to date. Overall the guests at the hotel we fine but there were some very drunk guests, literally falling over and stumbling everywhere, with one girl was so drunk, she didn't even realize her boob was hanging out of her bikini. We were so happy to get out of there when we checked out.. The worst hotel we had stayed in in Tunisia.

Never again. Dirty sea. Poor cleaning. Abundant food but poor quality. Poor location.

This is our last night of a 10 day stay. We have met some amazing people at this hotel. The hotel is dated and needs to be spruced up. However, for the money we paid it was not bad at all. Nice room to get ready and sleep. Bed are not to bad either and our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding. The food is a little samey! Some days my family struggled with what was on offer for a meal time. The pool is huge with plenty of space for everyone to have fun whether relaxing or jumping in. Our holiday would not have been the same without the Animation team. The team work so hard day and night entertaining everyone. Some of the holiday makers make the job exceptionally hard for the team and they deserve so much better and respect. Hamza, Malek, Ali, and the boys you are fantastic young men. Your exceptional ethics and hard work have definitely not gone unnoticed. You have literally made our holiday the best and we can not thank you enough. We will not forget you and will miss you. Best of luck for the future.

Lovely hotel, staff extremely friendly and helpful, entertainment and activities great. Pool area and beach Lovely. Great deals on spa treatments and would highly recommend Sonia. Only downside is a little dated but spotlessly clean.

Excellent hotel! Just what we needed as a group of 5 friends! Pool was great and the food in the restaurant was fantastic! The staff were all excellent, the waiters and bar staff very friendly. The animation team entertained us morning, afternoon and night doing gymnastics, water polo, water gymnastics, darts, games, pétanque and so much more! The animation team very quickly became good friends with us, eating dinner and tea with us and putting on awesome shows for the the children in the mini disco and also for the adults! Ali, Ali, Damino, Snoop, Alex, Malik and James were all super friendly and welcoming to us! Zidane was our great friend throughout making us laugh every single second of the day! Was always inviting us to join in the fun and laughing with us when eating food with us. I will miss them all so much and cannot recommend them enough!

Not 4 star, max 2 star - Please do not visit & waste your money! Yes cheap, though not nice place! Everyone you have read other reviews, so please make your own judgement on the Liberty Hotel. This review comes from an honest Welsh mid 40 year old Dad who took his 2 grown up children with him in August 2025 staying in Room 445 & flew back last night! 1st night: arrived late at 945pm. The Hotel is about 1 hour 30 mins(depending on drop offs) from Edfidha Airport by coach. Bands issued at hotel for all-inclusive. No map or directions offered to where everything is or outline of meal times. The 3 of us were hungry as long day travelling, so asked for food from reception, reluctantly they issued 3 plates of food for room service(Without cutlery) No toilet roll in room when we arrived, had to ask for that too! Plates left outside room, no one collected overnight. 1st day: sink in room not draining, shower head cracked. Not enough towels, 1 had been missed. (They delivered at 1145pm)I asked reception on nearest ATM, they simply said go outside to right and walk for 1km. 2nd day: Broken lilo chairs around site. Outside bar no clean plates, guests cleaning plates to use to get served afternoon doughnuts there. Asked Restaurant manager for a le carte availability and he said for me to report all my issues to the Hotel owner, as these findings seem common. I didn't on this occasion as wanted to see how the next few days panned out. Booked a le carte for day 4. 3rd day: Reported all the issues to Zezu (animation staff) who was very helpful in wanting me to report everything down to him. I also spoke to reception who joted down the room issues. Unfortunately sink and shower head not fixed by end of day. Football was showing in the cafe maure. My son and I sat down, staff then said this wasn't a part of the all-inclusive package and we could have 1 drink then leave. No sign on door stating anything? The issues were raised to Hotel manager, who said to put a review on trip advisor! 3rd night: Sat in the entertainment area. UK Dad kicking off as I understand a waiter tried to kiss his teenage daughter! Management tried to appease issue(see photos). Please notice the Hotel owner Mr Z bald head, green shirt who sits around site earning his money and not seeming to act on anything? 4th night: Booked a le carte restaurant through restaurant manager - Trish. Meal was rubbish. Salad to start for all 3 of us, my daughters vegetarian main was salad again!, then dessert was fruit. Trish is the manager, I thought a nice guy, though then tried to charge me £15 for the bottle of rose when I left...which until that point I did not know i would be charged for?. Tried to play pool, white ball kept getting stuck x 3. Zennelli at reception useless, gave me 10 dinar back x 3 and wouldn't look at the table. Both receptions just seem to find it all funny. This place was testing my patience. 5th Day Outlined all of my Hotel problems now to James the Animation Manager. He sa

I'm very disappointed with the hotel because no update to the 21st century, the food is the same every day, I gave a hotel 0 out of 5!!!! No mini fridge (pay daily and put it in the room) No charger plugs (one television and one bathroom) hotel reception went shop and bought me a plug extension. No iron and board in the room. No TV remote in the room (gave me a remote from maintenance) If u want all, then you have to pay an extra charge for a week. The hotel needs updates. The weather is very hot daily, but the special water bottles come out of the fridge and the water bottle warm not cold enough. Not enough ice cubes. Also, fake alcohol bottles do not real taste at bar at hotel and at the beach. Foods: 0 out of 10 because dead taste no seasoning no hot peppers 🌶️ spices.
