First PLEASE READ! If returning FROM Enfidha airport, please for the love of god, get your Dinar exchanged BEFORE getting to the airport. We got caught in what appears to be a very well-oiled scam/corruption. We tried to get our remaining dinar exchanged when we arrived at the airport, both Information AND the Exchange Desk said they couldn’t exchange our money ‘because it was from the hotel’. They needed the receipt from when the hotel exchanged it for us, luckily we had this which obviously threw them so we were told to go ‘downstairs’ to ‘Best Price’ exchange. THERE IS NO ‘BEST PRICE’ ANYWHERE AT THE AIRPORT! This is absolute rubbish (of course we just believed them), once you then go through security they are very quick to take any remaining dinar from you because it’s illegal to remove it from the Country, we explained that we were going to change it at ‘Best Price’, they practically laughed at us and said they were ‘confiscating’ the money, gave us a receipt and that was that. The information desk woman and exchange all seemed to be in on it and no doubt they split all their days takings between them all. Fuming is not the word! Second, outside the hotel there are some not-very-nice men with horse and carriages right by the bus stop to Monastir. They will tell you there are no buses for 2, 3, 4 hours to try and get you to give in. Unfortunately the buses are very unreliable, we waited an hour and 20 mins and finally one went past us after we gave up and walked to the nearby shop… Save yourself the trouble, get reception to order you a taxi which costs about 60 dinar return. The hotel is clean, spacious and the pools are lovely but a bit cold! People are saying it’s more like a 5 star hotel, this is not true but it is good for the price. Staff are friendly and helpful, animation team are great and the food was plentiful with loads of choice. I’ve probably put on a stone in a week…! There are water sports on the beach, reasonably priced and loads of things to do if you have younger kids (we didn’t). All in all, we had a lovely time but I wouldn’t come back as the airport corruption has really annoyed me. If I can help one person avoid that then I’ll be happy!

The room was absolutely spotless the cleaning crew do an amazing job at keeping them clean , the hotel was also spotless and the teams keeping everything running smoothly done an amazing job, the restaurants were clean and tidy with lots of choice every day for all the meals , the wait staff went above and beyond beyond helping find tables , clearing plates bringing drinks if needed and generally making sure your needs were met , also the wait staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself has plenty of different places to enjoy your stay there’s nothing you want that you can’t get while your there from shops to pools to quiet little bars to enjoy some time relaxing without being surrounded by kids and families ( which given it’s a family based hotel I did not expect however was pleasantly surprised to find ) excellent views and stunning spaces thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sahara Beach ❤️
