Fabulous spot, wonderful host - incredibly delicious breakfast. The rooftop pool and lounge area is gorgeous - everything looks like it came straight out an interior design magazine. We really can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this spot.

Thank you Sarah, and everyone at Dar Benti who helped make our family weekend in Monastir a delight. This pair of historic mansions in the heart of the ancient city has been gorgeously and sensitively renovated. You feel like you’re in an Architectural Digest spread. We came with our kids and grandkids aged 3 and 9 months and the giant family room (and crib) we were upgraded to were perfect. There was a high chair, and even adorable child friendly place settings at the lavish and delectable breakfast. Although it was too cool in February to make much use of the chic roof deck and pool, we enjoyed the variety of sitting areas and the lovely central garden. A perfect location for sightseeing- we walked everywhere. I highly recommend beautiful Dar Benti.

I previously wrote a rave review and this is indeed a nice place But my views changed on checkout today when told I could not Pay my bill by credit card. I find it unacceptable in the 21sr century that a hotel of this high standard does not accept cards. I should have been told this was the case on checkin. I had after all guaranteed my booking on *********** by Mastercard. I was told that there was a sign on the desk in French which said credit cards not accepted. My banking app was down and I could not make a transfer. So I had to go to an ATM and withdraw cash and carry a large quantity of local Currency back to the hotel in my pocket which made me feel very uncomfortable.

This was a wonderful find, as other reviewers have said, an exceptional dar tucked away in the ancient city. Very comfortable rooms and living space, excellent breakfast and altogether delightful. A few steps away from the bustling city but extremely quiet. Warm welcome and sorry to leave
