Cà Rossa Suite and Breakfast

Although a change in our travel plans precluded us from staying here, I need to acknowledge something very important. And that is the patience, and exemplary professionalism shown by Isaac Castellani - one of the proprietors, I believe - when answering my never ending questions. No question was too stupid, and no question was too long. The way he managed my situation clearly reflects the manner in which he runs his business ＞ first class.

A few days ago we returned from Ca' Rossa and it is difficult to find words to describe this amazing place. It was like a dream when you arrive at this beautiful suite, the suite itself is wonderfully built and beautifully decorated, the view there is indescribable and the area in general is absolutely wonderful. About half an hour from there you can take the Bernina Express train, which is an experience in itself (we used the help of the owner of the suite and he kindly booked the tickets for us). And we can't end without mentioning the wonderful owners, Izacc and Claudia, who go out of their way to help and suggest places and restaurants to visit, and finally the stunning breakfast served in the suite by this lovely couple. A place that is definitely worth returning to and enjoying.

Cà Rossa is enchanting. Its location is beautiful and peaceful. A very special place. The suite is wonderful. Clean, spacious and stocked with everything you need. The bed is extremely comfortable. Breakfast which is included is ample and delicious. The aperitif is extra but worth it. The owners, Isaac and Claudia are very kind. They live nearby and are helpful. I cannot wait to return to Cà Rossa next year!

Wow! We just spent a week in this magical place and loved every minute of it. The Ca' Rossa offers two gorgeous stone suites steeped in history but with every modern convenience. The property is located in a vineyard, and offers massive terraces from which you can enjoy the unbelievable views across the valley and to the mountains beyond. The wine produced on the property (by Isaac himself!) is labelled Miracolo, and pairs beautifully with the view! Most of all, the darling hosts, Isaac and Claudia, are warm, fun, witty, kind and helpful. Every morning, they bring the most incredible breakfast to your suite, and it's always full of surprises. Over 20 local juices and nectars are on offer, the yogurt is the best we've ever had and is made in the area, as are all the jams, pastries and breads. Speaking of pastries, every morning brings a new treat from the local patisserie and another from Claudia herself, an accomplished baker. Isaac and Claudia are available always for help - they booked train tickets for us on the Bernina Express, suggested interesting itineraries that are not in any guidebook, and provided the best recommendations for restaurants. Shout out to Otello, Trippi, Il Poggio and San Carlo - all quite close to Ca'Rossa. One lovely thing about the area in general is how so many of the people are dedicated to maintaining and furthering local food and wine traditions. They maintain an incredibly high standard of quality in everything they do. We have travelled extensively in Italy over the years. This space was very special for so many reasons, and will become one of our favorite memories ever. Grazie, Issac e Claudia. Non vediamo l'ora di ricontravi ancora!!

Every part of the stay at Ca’ Rosso was outstanding! From the setting (spectacular) to the pillow menu (honestly!) To the breakfasts that got more special every day. The location is great for exploring the Valltellina region and experiencing the Chiavennasca/Nebbiolo wines of the UNESCO heritage vinyard sites.

One of my favorite BnBs to stay around the world. The suite was comfortable and had everything we would have needed. Our hosts were attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The breakfast was incredible (I’m disappointed we only stayed 1 night)! No picture could do the view justice. We visited in the off season, so it was partly cloudy, foggy, and rainy but it almost made the view even more special. For English speakers, Isaac and Claudia communicate very effectively in English and have instructions and menus in this language as well. Location was great for exploring Sondrio and the Valtellina wine region.
