Merigge

Our stay at Merigge Agriturismo was perfect. We stayed in Room 105, which was a room on the second floor over the breakfast area. It has a separate seating area and a spacious balcony/patio with a gorgeous view. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Filippo and then the owner, Raffaele, who gave us a short tour of the property. We had a delicious breakfast each morning, prepared “with love” and served with a smile by Carlotta. We were well taken care of there and highly recommend this property for your stay in Tuscany.

We had a fabulous stay at Agriturismo Merigge. The property is truly beautiful. So peaceful and relaxing. The room was large and beautifully decorated in the style of the property. The bathroom was modern, super clean and had the most amazing bath. They even supply a hair straightener. The breakfast made by their chef Carlotta was absolutely delicious. Her scrambled eggs are outstanding. She is a beautiful person and so happy to have met her. Owner Raffaele is helpful and you can certainly see the love he has for the property and making everyone’s time relaxing and enjoyable. The manager gives you a complete run down when you arrive which is helpful. You will need a car but there is covered parking. You will not be disappointed with Agriturismo Merigge. We loved our stay and can only imagine how amazing it would be in summer with the beautiful pool. Wish we had stayed longer but are thankful for the time we had.

Everything perfect! Very quiet. Breakfast outstanding. Very nice hosts. Property is renovated on a high standard. Beautiful garden with permaculture. Wonderful place to have a relaxing time. Perfectly located to get to Montepulciano on the bikes.

The room was very comfortable and the setting beautiful. Unfortunately, we had bad weather and couldn't use the pool, but the place was charming as well as the surroundings. Breakfast was delicious and made with local products. Raffaele and Tiziana were wonderful hosts. In fact, I had a problem with my rented car and he went out of his way to help me out with it, going the extra mile to make our stay pleasant and nice.

The location was beautiful! The room was very nice. We really enjoyed the breakfasts each morning. Raffaele was very helpful with making reservations at restaurants and wineries. And we loved our cooking class with Carlota … highly recommend! Exceeded our expectations in every way and would definitely stay again.

Everyone was very helpful & want us to have a good experience. The staff booked an excel ant wine tasting & dinner for us which was exactly what we were looking for. The whole property was amazing and so very relaxing, our room was wonderful & so quiet too.

Imagine your dream holiday, Merigge is THE place. The location, property, pool, amenities and amazing view are second to none. Coupled with the warm and super friendly owners Tiziana, Raffaele and their team, it makes a holiday you won’t forget.

We stayed at the Agriturismo Merigge for 14 days in Aug/Sep of 2023 and quite simply had the best 2 weeks of our Italian holiday. The accomodation sits amongst the rolling hills just outside of Montepulciano and is a little slice of heaven on earth. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, Tiziana and Raffaele. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys, from recommending the best local restaurants and activities, to booking daily adventures and farm experiences on our behalf. Evrey time we inquired, Raffaele or his assistant Philipo seemed to know exactly what we were looking for - from local wine and olive oil tastings, to specialty dining experiences at various local farmhouses - they seemed to point us in the right direction every time where we had some of the most amazing days of our lives. The Agriturismo surrounds are maintained immaculately by a team of dedicated gardeners and on a daily basis you could watch them tending the onsite vegetable gardens, lavender fields and beautiful pool area. We spent several days just lounging around the large pool, with the gorgeous sunshine melting our cares away. Our room (1 of only 6 on the property) was perfectly comfortable and situated just outside the pool area. It had everything we needed to make our stay a memorable one. They have an onsite Chef (Carlotta) who was so friendly and meticulously prepared our breakfasts every day while we chatted to her about the local area. In fact, we enjoyed her company so much that we also decided to do a cooking class with her where she showed us how to make a 3 course meal using locally sourced produce. By the end of our 2 weeks, Tiziana and Raffaele made us feel like members of their family and we cannot speak highly enough of time at the Agriturismo Merigge. If you can, go and stay there because you'll have the time of your life !! We can't wait to travel to Italy again, where we will be sure to call in there again very soon. This place was simply superb in every aspect.
