Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Monterey Park

The hotel's cleanliness has really gone downhill! There were even shoe prints on the bedsheets, which is just ridiculous! However, the Chinese restaurant downstairs is pretty good, with tasty food and a good variety. There's also a Starbucks on the first floor.

Service: I booked online and paid for the room in advance, so when I checked in, the front desk only needed to charge a deposit. However, the staff was very unprofessional. Not only did they mistakenly charge the deposit as the room fee, but they also charged a whopping $630 USD. The next morning, they woke me up early to say they would deduct one night's room fee from the $630 deposit they had already charged. I was completely confused by their actions. After a long argument, they finally said they wouldn't deduct any money from my card. But it's been two days since I checked out, and the $630 deposit still hasn't been refunded to my account. This is truly the first time I've had such an unpleasant experience at a hotel. A terrible experience.

Cleanliness: I've never stayed at a hotel where they didn't clean the room for two days straight. I had to call the front desk to request room service. I specifically booked this hotel for five nights because it was highly recommended online, but the cleanliness was truly shocking... (The worst part is, I left a tip on the bed every night, and they still didn't clean it!) Anyone who stays at this hotel is just unlucky. Environment: The location is right by the highway, close to the road, so it's very noisy and not peaceful at all. The only upside might be that it's in the Chinese district, with Chinese supermarkets nearby, which is convenient. However, for a hotel of this standard, paying $18 a night for parking is really quite expensive. I won't be staying here again when I come back to Los Angeles. I usually don't write reviews, but this time I couldn't help but write one. I highly recommend everyone avoid this place. I booked it based on recommendations I saw on Xiaohongshu.

The hotel was at a comfortable occupancy level, and the staffing seemed just right, which is essential for excellent service. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, with no waiting. Having elevators on both sides was incredibly convenient, and parking was a non-issue.

Not in the city center, but in the Chinese quarter. It's an okay place, nothing special. The Chinese staff at the front desk weren't particularly welcoming.

The location is quite convenient, especially being close to the Chinese district. However, there's no free parking available.
