Hotel Porto Roca

This hotel is in the perfect location on the trail with gorgeous views from the rooms, pool and restaurant. The walk up to the hotel is steep but the hotel will pick you up in their shuttle anytime you want. The staff are so helpful and friendly- they really couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious- there wasn’t anything more you could want. The beds were comfortable and the shower is powerful. Monterosso itself felt less crowded than the other villages and is larger so we appreciated coming back there after fighting through crowds in the other villages. The meal that we had in the restaurant was the best meal we had during our trip and the setting is just beautiful. The pool is heated and the bar staff make excellent cocktails which they will bring to your sunlounger. The jacuzzi is lovely to soothe the muscles after the steep hill climbs!

This hotel was, hands down, the BEST travel decision I ever made in my life! :-) It was so outstanding, I hesitated to write a review because I felt I would not be able to find the words to fully articulate the incredible experience we had as guests here!! Originally, I was going to list everyone's name in the review but I am so afraid of leaving anyone out, I will just say that EVERYONE was incredible!! From the breakfast staff, housekeeping staff onto the front desk and concierge!! Each and every individual we encountered had the warmest smile, open heart and willingness to do anything at all to make your stay perfect for you!! We checked in as guests and left feeling like family members!! When I started planning my time in Cinque Terre, I had no idea where to stay! After a ton of due diligence, I settled on the Porto Roca and have been grateful ever since!! How lucky we were to choose this wonderful place! The location is beyond convenient, right outside the Blue Trail! You cannot ask for a better location! We visited all five villages in addition to Porto Venere and never once felt we should have stayed anywhere other than Porto Roca!! The rooms were impeccable, so clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread is the BEST! I was not expecting such a vast arrays of choices and your very own fresh squeeze OJ machine! I have traveled the world and stayed at some pretty high end properties and I can honestly say, this breakfast spread was one of the BEST I have ever experienced!! Heading out each day for different adventures were made even more exciting knowing we would come back to the comforts of home at the end of the day! What a gem we found and I hope this review helps you find this jewel as well! RUN, do not walk! Trust me, you will never regret it!! Every single thing about it will wow you, ESPECIALLY the staff!! My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the property. We loved the staff. Our Room was great. Food awesome with spectacular views from pool and restaurant. Shout out to Isabela who is 5☆ service. We would recommend hotel. They just need to fix the shuttle. Gratzi!

This is the finest hotel choice in Cinque Terre. The location is superb, the service levels are excellent and the view from the Dining Room is as spectacular as the food. For an experience to remember, get a room with a patio and enjoy breakfast overlooking the sea!

Had a great stay for 2 nights. The room was cosy with balcony & amazing views of ocean. Facilities good and Staff friendly. Good breakfast also. Steep walk up to the hotel and needed an expensive cab ride with the cases on arrival and departure, wasn’t advised of this.

We loved our stay and can't wait to come back! Here are our top 10 for this fabulous place - not in any order! 1. The staff: everyone, I mean everyone is 100% on it and there to make your time memorable. 2. The pillows, sheets and blankets are like sleeping on clouds. 3. The Views: stunning 360⁰ in every direction is breathtaking. 4. The Pizza: we got the Pesto but every one must be just a good! 5. The Pool: heated and relaxing infinity-like on top of a Tuscan mountain. Yeah ok, find me a spot better! 6. The Hotel: when you stay there, you'll know. 7. The Sea: its everywhere you look. And at no point in time does it disappoint. 8. The trails: they are right behind you and we enjoyed hearing the hikers braving their rugged journeys 9. The Oyster Martini: I know, it sounds strange. But it is amazing! If you're lucky and tip the staff well, they may just give you an extra Oyster on the side! 😉 10. The breakfast: great food, pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice!
