Be sure to calibrate your expectations: this is not a luxury apartment. It was, however, an excellent value. While the building wasn't new, the room was well-kept. We were able to find parking each night on the street in front, but had to relocate the car closer one night.
The owner is helpful and friendly, and the included breakfast of fruit, eggs, and gallo pinto was solid (especially at this price point).

We had lovely three nights here. The location of the hostel in very central, meaning it is super easy to book tours and activities. The owner is very helpful and answered all our questions, attended to all our needs and helped us book tours. Breakfast is included, which is nice. We had a private room which was spacious and had a very nice shower and even a small kitchen top with an excellent coffee machine. Definitely best value for price in town.

Sleepers is the cheapest option, providing great value for clean, simple facilities and very helpful / informative staff in the evenings! It's next to two other hostels (Coati and Sloth), in the most central part of town. Traffic in this location is audible from the road - so bring ear plugs. If the room on the top-most floor is available (room 8) - get it! It is by far the BEST room. Same price as the other private rooms, but larger and with a small refrigerator, sink, table, and chairs. It's the only room on this floor. Also right outside is a lovely covered roof patio.

Good value for the money. Our room had exactly what we needed and nothing more. We were not expecting much, just an afforable, safe, place to hang out hat for the weekend and this place met those needs.
