Villa Toscane

This has been the most satisfying hotel of my trip to Switzerland so far. Check-in, check-out, and breakfast were all handled at the Royal Plaza Hotel across the street. We arrived early, and the front desk immediately processed our check-in, saving us from waiting until 3 PM. We were given two rooms with excellent locations and orientations, practically the best rooms available, both with air conditioning, and one even had a balcony. I'd like to thank Trip.com for communicating with the hotel on our behalf. Based on our request, the hotel arranged air-conditioned rooms for us, which was a lifesaver as it's been scorching hot in Switzerland these past few days. The hotel itself is quite historic, having once hosted Mr. Charlie Chaplin. Despite its age, it doesn't feel old-fashioned at all. The rooms are clean, tidy, comfortable, and spacious. The Royal Plaza Hotel is a star-rated establishment situated by the lake, offering beautiful scenery. The hotel's pool and gym are available for free use. The only minor drawback was the limited breakfast selection. It was a simple Western breakfast, lacking items like vegetable salad, eggs, and pasta. However, the dried sliced bread and capsule coffee were quite good and stood out. The hotel entrance is right next to a bus stop, making it very convenient to get to the train station in just a few minutes, or about a fifteen-minute walk. To visit Chillon Castle, you also take the bus towards the train station; just hop on bus 201 from the hotel entrance, and it's only a few stops past the train station. Very convenient! I've included photos with bus stop and schedule information for reference. If I ever have the chance to visit Montreux again later in life, I will definitely stay at this hotel.
