Tralala Hotel Montreux

An oasis of relaxation and calm after we'd descended the knee breaking steps from Glion rather than take the tram car down the hill. Great friendly service, lovely surroundings and reasonable prices (medium and large beer for CHF 18 ... worth visiting !

Great beautiful hotel located in a very charming part of town, easy access to train station and the lake, plenty of restaurant, and bakeries around. Room was a bit small but great for 1 night with everything you need Highly recommended

Myself my husband and our young son have just arrived home from 5 wonderful nights in this lovely quirky little hotel. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Not only is the hotel in a lovely quiet little village like area with spectacular views over the lake the staff are FANTASTIC! We had a number of activities cancel on us and both Paulo and MJ (Marie Julie) were on hand with fantastic suggestions so that we were not disappointed! Breakfast in the morning was spot on and Paulo was always happy and jolly and would make our coffee to perfection. And in the evenings MJ was always a delight to have a talk to while we had a glass of the beautiful local wine. Nothing was too much for them :) they are a real asset to this hotel. There was another guy but we only had the pleasure of meeting him once and again he was so friendly. We have stayed in a number of hotels in a number of locations varying from basic to 5* and I can honestly say this hotel was warm, welcoming and comfortable. We will definitely return. Very nice hotel and the surroundings were really nice as well. A nice park ("Donner") nearby with a good view over the lake and Montreux. Staff was friendly and helpfull (they explained many things like where to park and how to use the public transpart which is offered for free) Unfortunately the building itself is quite noisy. One could hear cars and even bicycles outside breaking during the night, as well as chairs moving in other rooms and other guests talking in the hall way. One could even hear the lightswitch beying used in the adjacent room. So be advised to bring earplugs if one is a light sleeper.

The Host/Reception/Bar person Guillame was very welcoming and accommodating on arrival and during our 2 day stay Also Pedro Both speak exceptional English and helpful Hotel itself is cosy with a Jazz theme The bar area is great for an evening drink of Swiss wine or beer which is lovely and decor very good Ideal for a couple of days 10 mins walk uphill from Station or lake or a bus nearby if luggage or raining Hotel rooms small but clean Not much hanging space if there longer and one pillow so in future would need to request extra pillow I have a digestive disease so need to prop up with more than one pillow too flat Bed comfy but as pushed together to make double means only one bedside table Room heated and warm but window only opens fully no latch to part open Could hear upstairs dragging chairs around at 2am as wooden floors but I prefer wood floor to carpet Overall recommend for short stay if require no view of lake

Nice hotel with an excellent staff, especially the manager who was very pleasant and helpful. Right across the street from the bus line so easy to get down to the waterfront. Breakfast was good, rooms were comfortable, though our room on the 3rd floor was too warm even in December so had to sleep with the window open. We would stay here again.

Travelled for our anniversary and Mr. Guillaume in the reception made sure that we weee taken care of every single day. Was instantly greeted by smiles and great service. No request was “a burden” to them and the hotel staff was very kind and professional. The only thing to notice is that the beds are two twins that they just put next to each other, so the “splint” between can be quite disturbing if you’re aiming for a queen or king bed. Great rooms otherwise with nice view, cozy chalet-vibes. Definitely recommend :)
