The room provided to us upon arrival bore no resemblance to the one advertised. The listing featured images that clearly showed a water view across the sea, which was the key factor in our decision to book. However, the room we were given had no such view—none that remotely resembled what was pictured. This was not only misleading but felt like a bait-and-switch situation, which it was. When we raised this issue with the property management upon check-in, we were told it was an issue not within their control. Secondly, and even more disruptive, was the fact that for three out of the days we stayed, our holiday was severely impacted by loud and persistent roof repair work taking place directly above our room which vibrated right through the property. These works, involving constant drilling and hammering between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, rendered our room uninhabitable during the day. We were not informed of this planned construction at any point prior to or at the time of check-in. Had we been advised of this in advance, we would never have proceeded with the booking and would have requested a refund immediately. Instead, we were only made aware of the situation when the first day of works began—too late to make any alternate arrangements. This is completely unacceptable. Renting out rooms under such conditions without prior notice to guests is deeply unprofessional. Overall, our experience was extremely disappointing and falls far below the standards any guest can reasonably expect. The misleading room listing and the unannounced nerve-jarring construction works disrupted our holiday and wedding anniversary and reflects poorly on the property.
