Eastwood Inn

From beginning to end it was pretty much a nightmare. I made a reservation about 2 months prior to our stay. We got there and the rooms were all messed up, none of the rooms were clean. There was an ant problem in our room which we were told there was something on the floor they would clean up, they did not. the pool was green and bottom rusty. whole place smelled bad. One group in our party needed to wait for the sheets to be washed and for clean towels. Floors were dirty, bedding was stained, the mattress cover was ripped and falling apart. Our smoke detector was broken and hanging from the ceiling, some rooms didn't have a working phone. The staff tried, but they seemed to not be very knowledgeable on how to run the place. Another party in our groups reservation was completely lost and they ended up having to go to another city to find a room. Either make the place all "residential" or you need to do a complete overhaul of the place. I think my living situation in Afghanistan was better and cleaner.

There was no one at the front desk for a long time. The place smelled like fish sticks and onions. The pool is very outdated chipping paint and the Jacuzzi was a little sketchy. We were hesitant to eat the breakfast as it didn't seem very cleanly. It's an odd hotel but okay in a pinch.

Can't find the cafeteria. and the receptionist is not on the front desk.

If I could give this a negative I would. It is only slightly better than sleeping in a van down by the river. There were black hairs under my daughter's blankets and she had a flea crawling on her after she sat on the bed for a few minutes. Breakfast was s joke - a few stale pieces of bread and oatmeal packets that looked like they had bugs in them. Do not recommend.

Breakfast was a few dry slices of bread, bagels or stale cereal. Would not recommend - only slightly better than sleeping in a van down by the river.

Overnight near Brainerd Hotel was clean & being updated. Sadly, the room painting job was very sloppy and dripped on many surfaces. That detracted from the other improvements.
