Azimut Hotel Olympic Moscow

We booked a superior room for 2. Upon arrival at the hotel there was a huge queue and only one reception desk was working, the employees were very slow in checking everyone in, although there were 2 of them at one computer. The hotel only has a swimming pool and a sauna, and you need to sign up for a visit to the pool at least a day in advance so that you can be let in at a time convenient for you. Also, to visit the pool, you need to take a cap and rubber flip-flops with you, and if you did not know about this, please pay 550₽ for one pair, otherwise you will not be allowed into the pool. What is interesting is that they order these flip-flops from VB, where the price is 230₽ (I specifically found the same ones on the marketplace out of interest). The pool itself is of a very inconvenient shape, it is not very comfortable and convenient to swim there, I will also note that the height of the pool is only 170 m and 150 m, that is, people who cannot swim or are afraid of depth and are shorter than 150 m will not be able to be in it. (I am 152 tall, I cannot swim and am afraid of depth, I usually visit the pool to walk along the side and not disturb people who are swimming). Water drips from the ceiling in the pool area. The sauna is separate m / f, in the women's sauna you need to take off your swimsuit (!!!), which is very strange, in the men's you can be in swimming trunks, it causes caution at least. The room itself, although improved, but has clearly seen a huge number of visitors, the furniture is old and with obvious signs of wear, in the bathroom near the mirror there are traces of toothpaste, holes in the carpet, etc. The hotel clearly does not look like a 4 *, because even the same Novotel with the same 4 *, well, heaven and earth. Very bad, for 4* you want to see a completely different interior and condition of the room. We chose this hotel because we visited it once in 2022, but after that visit we will not return here again, just a nightmare. The only plus: at checkout there was a different shift of employees who worked quickly. And we had a beautiful view of Moscow from the window.

This is my second stay. Overall, I am very satisfied. Check-in and check-out at the front desk are very convenient and fast. When I took a taxi, I had to ask the front desk for change if I didn’t have any change. The room facilities are quite satisfactory, and the decoration is slightly old-school. There is a dedicated person cleaning every day, and the room is soundproofed. Average, air conditioning and heating are average
