Springlands Hotel

I have just come back from walking Kilimanjaro with my son and used this Hotel as a start and finishing point. It is a very relaxing place.clean, with friendly staff and lovely food . The rooms were air conditioned with comfortable Mattresses and an added bonus is it has a pool . I would have no hesitation in recommending this place as a stop over location for your Kilimanjaro or safari adventures .10 out of 10 .

Overall it was a great experience. Pros: - air conditioned rooms - friendly and helpful staff (Amadeus, Linda, Jane, Jack and Ginoga stood out) - consistently decent food - good location not too far from the markets - good price for water - organized - responsive management Cons: - old and quite dated - rooms have insects, cockroaches, etc. and are quite small - dinner only available between 730-900 - water not included in the room

Welcoming us at Springland hotel, Mr Modest stood out in his excellent service, professionalism, efficiency, and courteousness. Even though we only spent a short first night there, he immediately greeted us as familiar friends when we returned to the hotel after a week of mountain climbing. His English is impeccable, and he clearly explained everything to us, and was very helpful in everything. Springland hotel is like Paradise, carefully manicured tropical garden throughout the entire property. You feel you are in a botanical garden, and it seems that everything is in bloom all at the same time (we visited at the end of May). Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, bathrooms are neat, hot showers always worked (we stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions). The Springland hotel restaurant staff provides top-notch service, delicious food, as most importantly smiling faces always. Under the leadership of “Mr G” (Ginoga), all waiters and waitresses were charming, friendly, quick to help, including Daniel, Godwin, Amina, and Benjamin, Furaha…sorry I don’t remember other names, but these names definitely stuck with me for outstanding service. Food was delicious, one of our favorite meal was a pan-seared fish-dish (tilapia) that will be memorable forever. The first afternoon, Ms Peace and Mr Razak assisted us in planting an Avocado and a Mango tree in the front of the Moshi Kids Centre, an orphanage built through philanthropy. We were given a tour of the facility, and planted the trees, one in honor of grandpa Bill Simmons, and another for our family (Laura Kinga Benett Samantha Luke and myself). On the coordinator side, I need to give credit to both Mr Bruce (George Lawrence Lyimo) and Mr Erasto. I started planning this trip about a year ago, initially with Bruce, and he graciously and patiently lead me to find the perfect time to come visit. He also connected me with Mr Erasto to manage our slightly complicated schedule, because not only did I want to do a long Kilimanjaro mountain hike route (Lemosho), but also wanted to do tree planting at a local orphanage, and i hoped to squeeze in a short safari at Tarangerie National Park, a visit to the Arusha Cultural Heritage Center , then a visit to the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre and finishing up with a traditional African Goat-barbecue (yamachoma) in Moshi. Bruce and Erasto were both instrumental in making this crazy plan work out perfectly and flawlessly, with efficient professional communication throughout the processs.

Springlands Hotel is a great place to spend a night before or after safari/Kilimanjaro. We found the rooms to be clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. From the moment we arrived, the staff are very friendly and eager to help us. They helped us with the luggage to our rooms, showed us around the property and looked at all our needs. Food in the restaurant was tasty and there was a wide variety to choose from, even for a picky eater like me. We loved the service and facilities!

Stayed for 2 days, just before and after Kilimanjaro and it was perfect. Arrived on exhausted on a late flight and found our dinner reserved and room ready. Our room was nice, had a great bed and clean bathroom. Staff were very friendly and readily assisted us at every turn. The food was served buffet style, quite tasty options and we indulged to our satisfaction. It's a pity that I did not get to swim in the inviting pool as we were limited by our flight out. The forex bureau is a nice touch as I did not have to go outside to transact. It's good value for the convenience, safety and tranquility.

This was the first and last stop during the recent Kilimanjaro trek. The nice beautiful hotel has very good rooms that have all the amenities one needs before and after a trek. The food was good and the service excellent. The staff are really nice and helpful. I forgot my laptop charger in the room before they trek and they gave it back to me when I returned from the trek. Its a recommended affordable stay for Kilimanjaro and travel around the larger Kilimanjaro environs.

For all practical purposes this hotel is for the Zara Tours travellers. In that regards when it's part of your trek, this hotel works fine. Very small rooms given the location. Good food. OK wifi. Super clean and refreshing pool. I would probably not stay there outside the trek. It's a fair walk outside the city and I would recommend a taxi.

We started our Kilimanjaro climbing adventure from Springlands Hotel. The hotel is welcoming with great staff who were always willing to help. The beds were comfortable and the room very clean. The hot shower was nice after the long flight, and after the grueling Kilimanjaro course. The grounds are quite beautiful, particularly around the pool area. I would not mind staying here again when I am in Moshi
