I highly recommend staying at the Sweetwaters Serena Camp in Ol Pejeta! We were amazed with all of the animals that we saw: elephants, rhinos, lions and cubs, water buck, giraffes and so many more! Also, there is a fresh buffet every meal with delicious food. Plus, the entire staff team is incredible! Every person is welcoming and kind, and they have excellent customer service!

From the entrance it doesn't look like much - however... The location, view, food and everything was fantastic! the night game drive is highly recommended. We managed to spend a good 30 mins with a pride of 7 lions and 3 cubs which was the absolute highlight of the trip. The rooms 'tents' itself are an experience on its own - unlike any other. the watering hole opposite the garden attracts various wildlife and is very serene to sit by and just reconnect with nature. Would certainly recommend and return.

Our stay at Serena Camp was very special! Set in the heart of Ol Pejeta, Serena is build around a watering hole, frequently visited by elephants, buffalo, rhinos and many other animals through the day and night - quite the experience eating dinner and watching elephants next to the restaurant windows. The tents were the most up market, luxurious tents we have ever slept in, including a fully built in tiled bathroom, with running hot water, and a very comfortable bed. The bar area was very relaxed, breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant was all delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Serena Camp!

We stayed at Sweet Waters Serena camp for two nights. The location is absolutely spectacular with so many animals. We saw rhinos, elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, Thompson gazelles, impalas, pumbas… I am sure there was more. The site is in an excellent location with the tents spaced out so that each has a view, and sitting outside our tent was like living in a nature program with all the animals wondering back and forth. The tents themselves were excellent. Very comfortable and with all the amenities and a massive bed. The service was excellent and the food was delicious, and there was a lot of it! We even got a cake brought by the staff to our table while they sang as it was my boyfriend’s birthday. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. There is a chimpanzee sanctuary nearby set up by Jane Goodall where you can see them and if you book in advance watch the feeding. You can also visit Baraka, a blind Rhino that lives in his own separated area and is looked after by his carers since he wouldn’t survive in the wild now. If there was one thing I would recommend is that the staff don’t leave any light on after they make the bed in the evenings as when we returned for the night we had quite a lot of (harmless) bugs inside.

This is a large camp. The highlight of the camp is a watering hole. We spent many hours sitting on our little porch watching the animals come to drink: rhino, elephant, zebra, water buffalo, water bok, impala, warthog, cranes, geese, rabbits, camels. The food was excellent. Staff ensured our comfort. The bartender was able to make iced lattes … a welcome surprise! Hot water and power are available at all times. Our tent had a thatched roof above it and a concrete slab beneath it. The room had good space and was bug free. Stone walkways connect the tents and buildings. We highly recommend seeing the White Rhinos and Lion Tracking.

Fantastic experience. Accommodation very good. So much choice with food.Friendly staff and some went above and beyond especially Denge , Ann and Brian. Overlooking the waterhole from restaurant and tent made this holiday such an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend it.

The accommodation, food and general vibe of the camp was amazing. Our lodging was at a prime location from which we had a direct view of the watering hole, where we were able to see many animals like rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras etc. quenching their thirst. The tents were very clean, cosy and well maintained. The addition of hot water bags under the bedding was a welcome surprise. Hot water was available at all times. The lavish buffet with it's mix of Indian, Kenyan and international cuisine, along with the live stations for pastas, omelettes etc. was enjoyable. There were a variety of salads, fresh fruits, vegetarian and meat dishes, as well as desserts. A couple celebrated their birthday during our stay there and the kind staff sang a wonderful version of Hakuna Matata and brought the cake for them. It was a very enjoyable moment even for us at the next table. All in all, a wonderful experience definitely worth recommending.

Excellent trip and excellent safari game drive with John. I was warmly welcomed by Gilbert who was highly professional and took me around to view the hotel. Then John took me on a game drive in Ol Pajeta and it was spectacular. we saw lions during 2 instances. John was also very knowledgable. A great team including Gilbert, Carol and John too.

you did not know that the walls were made of canvas, you would not believe it. The spacious tent was constructed so beautifully, so elegantly that it was luxurious. There were carvings on the moldings, the bathroom was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, everything worked perfectly, and the grounds were gorgeous. We woke up to the sound of many beautiful exotic birds and looked out on a pond that was a watering hole for hippos, gazelles, impalas and other animals. We had a wonderful time.
