Good location for a trip to Alton Towers. It takes about 35 minutes in the morning. The bed is not that comfortable and the water pressure for shower is quite weak. I was woken up by the sound of the door closing outside in the morning.

Room was on the small size, but had everything needed. Bathroom was clean and neat.
The only thing that let this trip down, was that the aircon is not working, and hasn’t been working for months. I previously had left this hotel as it was far too hot in the room, and all they offered was a fan. I called reception before booking, and they said how the air con was working, but then when I arrived, they said it “may be working, in some rooms”, but wasn’t working in ours.
But overall, this was a nice and comfortable hotel. Would book again once aircon is working.

Room was cold and smelled of damp. The heating system wasn’t working. Which was a pity because the food was very good and the staff were very friendly.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. The reception, bar and restaurants are lovely...as are the staff, but a lot of the hotel is in disrepair or neglected. Rubbish, glasses, cigarette butt's, face masks and clothing are strewn on pavements and at doorways around the hotel. This was never picked up, despite complaining. Unfortunately, one of the worst IHG's we've stayed in.

The waiters were friendly. Breakfast is the same every day. There is no air conditioning in summer and it is too hot. Room facilities are average.
