Love this little pub, we vist regularly if we can and its always good food and friendly and welcoming faces.. highly recommend visiting

Had a trip with two friends to deal with some family things. Have stayed before and it was as good the second time. Food freshly cooked and excellent quality and very reasonable prices. Staff friendly and very efficient. Be going again as it is a gem

What a wonderful place. Staff and management were so friendly, treated like royalty, room was exceptional and the price was cheap. Food in the bar was well worth trying and the breakfast (although not a cooked breakfast) was satisfying and there was ample to go round,

This excellent Inn has all the qualities of a great local. Marvellous menu, fantastic variety of foods to meet all needs and tastes. The portions are always generous and the staff are efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The Half Moon has an excellent range of drinks, including superb draught beers. I've stayed here and visited here for meals when passing; it's a real gem.

4 of us went for dinner having heard good things only to be very disappointed, my partner had the salmon which was OK, my sister had lasagne which was very bland, my brother in law had caesar salad, the lettuce was not fresh and brown round the edges the chicken chewy and only 2 very tiny pieces of bacon, no seasoning or dressing, I had faggots which were like very cheap dry burgers, rather than being cooked in a rich gravy they were dry and served with a boat of gravy made from cheap granules and served on a bed of something resembling the contents of a dogs stomach, it had obviously been heated to boiling point in a microwave, we spoke to the waitress who shrugged it off and said she would tell the chef, we didn't hear from anyone, absolutely disgusting

Having booked a 5 night stay, we have to agree with the sign outside, "splendiferous". Our room was clean and comfortable with housekeeping every day (so nice to have towels changed daily). Food was superb, we ate there every night and couldn't fault it, everything from the cauliflower cheese to the perfectly cooked Thankyou to all the staff 😀

We’ve eaten here several times over 10 years, but today for some reason the food was actually stunning, I had the full rack of Ribs where as my wife had the stuffed chicken, absolutely top notch. CHEFF thank you, you made an old man happy 👍

I very comfortable room with an ensuite shower room above the pub. I had a double/family room whereas my friend stayed in one of the ground floor, smaller (and cheaper) double bedrooms, suitable for single or double accommodation. The rooms were clean and came with tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits! There was also abundant parking. All in all, a good place to stay.

We had a fabulous stay overnight. The room was clean fresh and well equipped. We ate in the pub where the food and staffing were amazing and very competitive in price. In the morning the continental breakfast was lovely and again very good value. Highly recommended.
