Hotel Sunshine Airport

I only booked this place for an overnight layover due to the proximity of the airport and the free airport pickup offered, I received a message the day before advising me to call the hotel on arrival to arrange pickup, not ideal being a foreign visitor as I then had to call with the roaming charges on my mobile, not a great start!! On arrival at the hotel we were shown to room 122 where I was overcome by the pungent damp must smell and a infestation of mosquitoes. On further inspection of the room I found it to be in a filthy condition, the bathroom especially looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. As it was only for a few hours we just accepted it but hardly slept a wink what with mosquitoes buzzing around and the light from the aircon lighting the room. An altogether terrible experience that I’d honestly not wish on anyone

So, there I was, thinking I had hit the jackpot with a hotel so close to the airport that I could almost check in for my flight from my room. Little did I know, I was about to check into the Comedy Central of hotel experiences. Walking into my room, I was greeted not by a mint on my pillow but by an army of dead mosquitoes decorating the bed. It seemed like they had a party, overindulged, and just couldn’t leave. The cleaning crew must have been on a per***ent vacation because the only thing clean in that room was my conscience for not running away immediately. The bathroom was a horror story with a twist of comedy. Calling it “dirty” would be a compliment; it was as if the dirt had moved in, signed a lease, and wasn’t leaving anytime soon. The handwashing bottle wasn’t just dirty; it was auditioning for a role in a grime documentary. But the pièce de résistance was the bathroom glass, so transparent that I felt like I was starring in my own reality show every time I showered. Privacy? More like a public broadcast service! And oh, the staff. They were tip comedians, always with their hands outstretched, ready for a tip even if the only service provided was a lesson in how not to run a hotel. They had this magical ability to appear out of nowhere, especially when I looked remotely content, just to remind me that every interaction apparently had a price tag. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a stay that combines the thrill of a wildlife safari (thanks to the mosquitoes), the suspense of a reality TV show (courtesy of the transparent bathroom), and the humor of a stand-up comedy sketch (shoutout to the ever-optimistic staff), then this is the place for you. Just remember, the real tip is to enjoy the comedy of errors you’re about to experience. And maybe bring your own cleaning supplies.

Excellent service from the Hotel sunshine staff. From the moment we were at Mumbai airport to our departure the staff provided a brilliant service. We were only there half a day as a stopover for an early morning flight. The service desk provided good advice on how we can best explore Mumbai for the few hours we had. They ***aged a change in booking we made without any issue (a change that we had wanted to make). The hotel is in a good location to the airport only 10mins (with no traffic). Would certainly stay again if in Mumbai.

Travelling on my own and wanted a cheap hotel near the airport which also offered a transfer. Booked Hotel Sunshine as reviews were sufficient based on the price I was paying. The room was largely clean, no window with an outside view (it was frosted glass which possibly linked to another room) Bathroom was grim. Everything was rusty and what I believe is the hot water tank was leaking onto the floor. The room was on ground floor and it was very noisy. Not sure if it was beside the kitchen but the noise went on late and started early. There was also a lot of men who I think worked there hanging around the reception which to some people could feel intimidating. I have stayed in far worse but I would suggest paying a little more to find something better.

Emailed the hotel to pick my friend and i up from airport. Communication was good to pick up. But you have to pay for shuttle parking in airport and remember to tip the driver. Hotel is not the most luxurious but its close to airport

I did call them for shuttle from airport they hang up call and they didn’t send the shuttle.

Budget hotel close to the international airport. really convenient for individuals flying because they provide free pick-up and drop-off service, which is really helpful and economical. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay with a quick check-in.
