friendly, small, good meals, good homebrewed beer, clean, not crowded, silent, near to bus 62; We visited many locations in Munich: William Turner, Pinacothek, BMW, Olympia-Tower, the river Isar, coffeeshops, gardens, different shops and so on

This little hotel is a total treasure. Everything is beautifully kept and "cozy"- in the style of Bavaria. The staff is phenomenal; they deliver a warm and helpful welcome at every turn, from the front desk, to the breakfast team (be sure to try breakfast- it's unbelievable!), to the restaurant servers. Location is superb; away from the touristy area but close enough to walk to everything AND to explore the great local neighborhood. Amenities are plentiful, the room couldn't be more comfortable, and design and hospitality were through the roof. Thank you, Marias Platzl team, for making my first visit to Munich such a joy via your warm welcome!

If I rated only on food, Maria's Platzl would get 10 stars. Its breakfast foods, from full-fat yogurt to its breads to its spreads and cheeses, are simply wonderful. The the restaurant itself is so homey and tasteful. A perfect stay would be staying in the breakfast area itself. I enjoyed the unique designed room too, but have to admit that I was flummoxed by its light switches. I could never control the lighting!

Marias Platzl is a quirky hotel, think upside down tin buckets for lampshades and plates hanging on the wall everywhere - a nod to Bavarian history in Munich as I understand it! The location is what I would describe as neighbourhood residential, a nice pleasant feel with Marian Platz just over the road and being about 15 minutes walk to more central attractions. We booked what I think was the superior room, it was an okay size but I would call it standard, the next double size down is quite possibly very small. It had everything we needed though, storage space, window seat overlooking the square and a nice homely feel. The bathroom isn't segregated and a single sliding door covers either the shower or toilet, not quite ideal for 2 people wanting to use one facility at the same time as the other. Nice products provided. Breakfast was good, a range of continental items including muesli, breads,pastries, cold meet and cheese, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. Very friendly staff and outdoor seating available in the 'pub' garden. I score this less well on value for money but think we picked a busy weekend in summer when prices are at their highest. I would recommend.

Very friendly and cosy hotel, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Friendly welcome, good organisation for check-in and check-out. Bed was very comfortable, room quiet and large. Coffee machine, nice bathroom, good location.

The room is quite noise and face to main road. I didn’t see any staff at all during my stay. Their tea is nice . Metro station takes 15 mins walk but bus stop in front

Very reasonable room rate with cozy atmosphere & stylish design. Breakfast was served decently with variety of choices. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Besides, I enjoyed the quiet place with morning walk by the riverside. Will come back for sure for my coming stay in Munich.

I was travelling on business; this isn't a business hotel. I arrived after the reception desk had closed, meaning there was a delayed check-in. I had to wait 20 minutes, then was presented with someone who didn't know how to let me into my room. There wasn't an iron; there was no concierge. If you needed anything after 8pm or before 8am, you were stuck. Travelling on business means you're out before the reception team start and arrive back after they finish. I wasn't able to get an iron for the full week. The room didn't have aricon, but was ok. The location was pretty good.
