This exceptionally well-kept B and B offers modern boutique bedrooms while the remaining reception and breakfast rooms are sensitive to the original homes design. The estate is sympathetic to the mill's original function, while the gardens include many plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers that would interest keen gardeners. The river walks and calming environment would appeal to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The house and gardens are only upstaged by the host, Helen. A warm, genuine welcome from Helen will ensure your stay is a pleasent experience. But that is not all! Helen's full Irish breakfast is of restaurant-quality. Helen was very welcoming and hospitable. The accommodation is surrounded by beautiful gardens and views. Very peaceful and relaxing stay. The b. and b. is spotlessly clean, lovely and warm. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and plenty of towels. The breakfast was beautiful. Fresh fruit salad, yogurts, cereal , full Irish Breakfast including boxty which was delicious. Lovely bread , toast, plentiful supply of tea and coffee . This B. and B. is absolutely great value. Would highly recommend it. We were so well looked after by two Helens. Thank you , ladies.

Staying here at Lacken Millhouse was an exceptionally lovely experience from the moment of our arrival being welcomed so warmly and in such a friendly manner, we felt thoroughly relaxed and at home throughout our three day stay here. Lacken Millhouse is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. I would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed at Lacken Millhouse for one night last week and had a gorgeous bedroom. The downstairs living room was also very inviting though it was late when i arrived and I didn't sit there. After a hearty breakfast in the morning I took a walk in the wooded area behind the guesthouse which was really tranquil and lovely. I didn't want to leave but needed to attend a local funeral. I would be happy to return here to stay again without hesitation and would recommend it as a nice quiet rural place to stay.
