Amazing resort, absolutely gorgeous. The staff is superb worrying about your every need. The tree houses (the suites - and you don’t have to climb up to get to them) are beautiful. Large beds, sitting room, big bathrooms with indoor/outdoor showers. But the true beauty of this place is the staff. However they can help they are there for you. And don’t let me leave out the incredible food and the Jack Hanna house for a private affair. Simply incredible. All of it!

Best hotel experience in the world, and we’ve seen a few! A gorilla trekking mecca for safari *******. Absolutely world class doesn’t do it justice. You have to feel it to believe it. Great honeymoon spot or life-affirming dream destination but beware, every other holiday will be ruined once you’ve experienced Gorillas Nest. And all the while you are doing good for the community, saving the wildlife, contributing tremendously to conservation and environmental protection and helping secure the future for our children and theirs yet to come. It’s not cheap but, boy is it worth it!

We have been blessed to travel to many luxury resorts. This resort by far stands out above the rest. From the minute you step onto the property you are treated like royalty. The property is beautiful secure and absolutely breathtaking. The general manager is one of the best in the industry. There is nothing negative that you could ever say about this property. They wait on you hand and foot and make sure all your needs are met and beyond. I highly recommend this property. This is a bucket list resort. Just for an example there was a night that we were all extremely tired. They placed security officers around our villa to make sure no one came to disturb us.

The staff is second to none. OUR HONEYMOON WAS EVERYTHING AND MORE. The staff upgraded us to their nicest room due to COVID and it being our honeymoon. Thanks Jacque :)! The gorillas were fantastic, but the resort and staff are what we rave about. Everyone is so happy and you can feel and feed off that energy. The spa met us after our excursions to give us a 10 minute teaser massage, which enticed us to make appointments. Well played and much appreciated! Our room had an outdoor shower and outdoor tub. It is by far the most romantic setting we've ever experienced. The food is divine. OMG-they make soup so well! The staff & Teddy went out of their way to make our dining experiences special. They set up 5 course meals in the gardens, poolside, you name it! The experience is spectacular. Do yourself a favor and book this hotel and see the gorillas in the wild. It's a trip of a lifetime. We still keep in contact with some of the staff that's how great they are . we stayed in OCT 2020, but after experiencing some other hotels in the last year and a half, I had to go leave a review for this fantastic resort. -Becky & SR

Wonderful stay at O&O Gorilla’s Nest! We had a standard room but there’s absolutely nothing standard about anything at this property. This is pure luxury all the way. The room was spacious and had every amenity you could want. Laundry service is included, you just have to call and ask whenever you need it. The small bar in our room was well stocked with drinks and snacks. Rooms are private and quiet. Great water pressure in the shower as well. The grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and eager to make you feel at home. The food is plentiful and delicious. We had lunch in the garden one day which was super nice. The bartenders know how to make every drink and have concocted some refreshments of their own. I had a wonderful massage at the spa, much needed after a 5hour gorilla trek, as was the heated pool. Another nice service after trekking was how a staff member will meet you at your vehicle, removed your shoes & socks, gave you some flip flops, and then took everything to be cleaned. They had them back in our room by the time we got back from dinner. The hotel provides you with backpacks, gaiters, ponchos, hats, and a snack (really more of a lunch) for trekking. (Walking sticks are provided by your guide when you get to the beginning of the trail. Bring your own gloves). Props to the awesome dancers and drummers at the hotel who welcome you each time you enter the property and put on a nice performance by the fire pit before dinner as well. We absolutely recommend this property and Rwanda in general. Impressive what the people have built together just 30 years after all that heartbreak. Loved it all! Thank you, Rwanda.

If you are interested in trekking to see the Rwandan gorillas, and you have the means, this is the place to stay. The retreat is beautiful, nestled in extensive, gorgeous gardens. Each "room" is separate, and is structured similar to a treehouse among forest of tall trees. The rooms are beautiful, with lovely, appropriate decor for the location, and with views of the surrounding trees. Rooms feature Dyson hair dryers, bath tubs, showers, and outdoor showers. Each room has a balcony to enjoy in off hours. Authentic Rwandan drummers and dancers welcome you to the resort upon arrival and when returning from treks. There is a thorough introductory meeting (do attend!) for those going on treks (which include gorillas and golden moneys.) Everyone is also treated to an evening show by these performers, prior to the introduction. Well worth attending. Food is excellent and on the gourmet side, but definitely not too fancy. Included are breakfast, a packed snack from the breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner. One of our party has 5 different food allergies, and the staff was extremely vigilant to his restrictions. Food service is beyond exceptional; everyone is very attentive, even the gentleman building a fire next o your table. Resort also offers massages/spa services, bikes to ride, etc. for guests. There is a dessert bar featuring cookies and sweets in the lobby to also enjoy. The best part of this retreat is the people. We cannot compliment the staff highly enough--kind, polite, caring, and professional. Perhaps the most attentive staff we've encountered throughout the world. We were sad to leave them, because they were good friends by the time we left. The Rwandans have gone through a horrible genocide within the last 30 years, and many of them have a sad past. However, their happy, beautiful demeanor would never give it away. They truly love being of service to their guests. If you do go on a trek, PLEASE hire porters. They are more helpful than you can imagine, carrying your backpack, helping you in the difficult parts of the hike, etc. They are truly grateful for your patronage, as the income is very much needed and appreciated. We cannot recommend the One & Only more. It truly is "One & Only".

This was truly the most wonderful place we’ve ever visited. They took care of our every need, and the area is beautiful. The staff was more than wonderful. It’s expensive, but the experience makes it worth the cost. They have dancers and drummers greet you whenever you enter the property!

I was recommended to stay with One&Only through friends and I was not disappointed. The property is well maintained, the team is warm, friendly, efficient and engaging. The trekking in the National Park created the best memories. Thank you
