Golden Tulip Muscat

The hotel is located in a good location. The city is not meant for walking but you can actually walk to the very big mall called Oman Avenues Mall which also has IKEA. Room is quite nice except the bathroom that has a lot of visible mold on the ceiling. Service at check-in is good and staff is friendly.

Nice hotel with quiet rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast. The terrace is lovely and The pool as well. Quite spacious rooms with all needed to spend a good time in Muscat. I surely will come back.

We stayed here for two nights during July. I could not wait for the two nights to end. The place looks the part on the outside until we got to the room. It's outdated and revolting to say the least. The place is in desperate need of a refurbishment. 1. The mattress was well past its usable life with its springs sticking out. 2. The shower has no pressure, and neither does the bidet for the toilet. 3. The bed bases are torn. 4. There was visible residue from previous guests on a lot of surfaces. 5. The ceiling of the shower is covered in mold and has been poorly painted over. 6. The extract fan in the toilet is absolutely weak and the moment you turn on the shower the whole place clouds up. 7. The TV is miniature and probably 144p resolution. Its a torture to watch in the year 2025 8. The minibar hasn't been cleaned on the outside and inside. Overall a poor experience.
