The Royal Blue a Luxury Beach Resort

This place is amazing. It's luxury upon luxury. It has everything you need right at your doorstep, if you're not worried about exploring the island you can stay here your entire trip and be thoroughly satisfied. It has its own beach that is sheltered from swell so it's nice and calm. Perfect for kids and snorkelers alike! The restaurants they have are all 5 star and the food is amazing. Highly recommend this resort!

Who was travelling? Family, 4 adults How long was our stay? 10 days We had an excellent experience in the Royal Blue Resort in September 2024!!! More Details: Rooms: We stayed the first days for full relaxation in the Azure Blue Residence and it was amazing. Two bed rooms with ensuite bath room, living room, separate bathroom, kitchenette, living and dining room, own private pool, own parking lot. Space, space, space; privacy, privacy, privacy - believe me, we all loved it. Afterwards we moved to the Superior Suites Sea View to be as close as possible to the sea. What should I say other than: another excellent experience I can only recommend as well! Service Staff: If anybody asks where to find super friendly, real and authentic hospitality in Crete, my clear answer is: visit The Royal Blue Resort. Thank you very much to each and every single one on the team, it was a pleasure to stay with you. Food: Excellent, nothing more to be added. Beach: Sandy beach in artificial bay, enabling swimming independently from the tides. We loved it! Gym: well equiped, clean, air conditioned - nice experience SPA: Variety of services, I chose a relaxing massage - amazing experience Summary: We can highly recommend a stay at The Royal Blue Resort in Crete. TRY IT!

Staff couldn’t do enough for you, friendly and welcoming. Rooms good size we had a superior sea view room with balcony overlooking swimming pool. Breakfast and evening meal buffet style were exceptional, with so much choice. In fact no real need to dine in other restaurants as buffet was so good and varied. Very large saltwater family swimming pool with lots of sun beds overlooking the hotels private beach/harbour, there was also an adults only pool along with many others dotted around the hotels. Restaurant at the pool served lunch if needed after the buffet breakfast. Waitress walking around taking orders for drinks and offering complementary fresh fruit and aperitifs to taste. Musicians playing most evenings. There is a small store on site for essentials and there is a small local supermarket close by with a good selection of wines and beers. There is also a small paddling pool for children although in our opinion the hotel does not offer a lot of activities for the young ones. The sister hotel over the road seems more child friendly with a small water park with a number of slides and water play area. We found the shuttle bus service to and from the airport to long as The Royal Blue Resort is almost the last drop off and on way back to airport one of the first our journey time was 3.25 hours, possibly consider as we will on our next visit take a private taxi or car hire for the trip as a car is useful for sight seeing, the trip in your own car from hotel to Chania is approximately 1.25 hours, a visit to the Old Town is well worth it

I spent seven nights at The Royal Blue with my mum and her friend and loved every minute. The staff were super friendly, the food in the main restaurant was excellent, and the private beach and pools were perfect for relaxing. I treated my mum to spa treatments, and the service there was fantastic, too. I didn’t try the à la carte restaurants, but I heard good things. I would definitely return!

We had an amazing stay. The pools and restaurant/bars are great with beautiful views of the ocean, and all the staff were wonderful, so welcoming and helpful. I have dietary requirements and the head chef took me around the buffet each evening explaining which dishes I could eat (which was a lot of them!) and also made me my own gluten free pancakes and pasta. The bed in our room was also super comfortable. Perfect hotel for a relaxing break.

Probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Spotless rooms. Cleaned every single day. We had a shared pool which was very nice but tbh the pools around the hotel were so nice and also the private beach that we only used the private pool twice . From check in to leaving just amazing . Katryna who checked us in was so helpful and friendly, just adorable. We were given prosecco and chocolates while we waited to check in . Then taken to our beautiful room by golf buggy . Sorry didn’t get our drivers name but he was also friendly and polite. The food in the buffet was delicious. I think we have gained at least 3k in one week . The staff there couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Nothing was a bother. Got to mention our spa experience. Just wow . Mela and team just so professional. A beautiful salt scrub followed by a facial and body massage. Highly recommend the spa experience. If you want to explore the area you need a car but we just wanted a relaxing week in the sun. Definitely worth the 5* rating.
