Perfect place for my friends and I to base ourselves for a week at the snows. Rooms were comfortable, bidet was a nice touch as always. John and the team were very hospitable and warm during our time there and were very accommodating. Pick up and shuttle services were most appreciated and they even took us to the pharmacy in town when some of us came down with a bad cold. Just booked for a second year in a row as I loved staying there and in Myoko!

What a fantastic place for a getaway! My wife and travelled in the non-Ski season and stayed for some visiting local area and friends! The accomodation is fantastic, spot on for a getaway and what makes it special is the hospitality - John is a fantastic host. You must try the foot Onsen down the road and most importantly enjoy a Saki with John!

First time to Myoko for snow experience and couldn't have found a better host. John was friendly, informative and responsive to your different needs. The Akakura Address was recently refreshed so the rooms were all new and clean. The service team was also very helpful - from cleaning up to car pick ups. March was relatively quiet for snow season so it was all a very nice and cozy stay at The Akakura Address, will definitely recommend it to others!

This was an exceptional hotel for ski trip in Akakura onsen. From the moment we arrived John was absolutely charming - I have never experienced such kind hospitality from a hotel owner before. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, the breakfast delicious and we enjoyed socialising with international guests in the Sake bar. I would encourage anyone to stay here, but also want to keep this gem a secret so there is availability for us to come back!

In a great position next to ski school and a short walk to the lifts. Note bottom lift does not work so you need to go to Yodel lift up front lift ticket office. All the restaurants and bars are on the same street and a short stroll. John runs a shuttle service to nearby resorts and train station which is very fantastic . Rooms are generous and our bathroom had a huge bath . Kitchen is great if you want to do your own breakfast. Highly recommend

I had an amazing stay at Matsuya for my first snowboarding trip to Myoko! The accommodation was spotless, and its location was super convenient. Matsuya is a newly renovated building and a sister property of The Address, so we were able to use The Address’s facilities—including the onsen, which was incredibly clean and comfortable. John, the owner, was exceptionally kind and accommodating. He arranged a pick-up from Myoko-Kogen Station and was flexible with the timing, even when our arrival was delayed until late at night. Throughout our stay, he also provided shuttle services to various spots around Myoko, making everything so much more convenient. The hospitality at Matsuya was top-notch, and I highly recommend checking out the bar at The Address—it’s a must-try! Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

This is our second trip back to the Address. John, the owner, is very friendly and hospitable. The location of the hotel around Akakura Onsen is perfectly convenient and the rooms are spacious so we can relax and cook after long days skiing/snowboarding. We highly recommend the Address.

We had an amazing stay at The Address. After an initial mix-up with the booking via Bookingdotcom (The Address has a brand-new sister hotel called Matsuya) we got the brilliant Tatami family room with its own onsen. The most spacious and most comfortable room we have stayed in in Japan. The Address is right in the middle of Akakura Onsen main street directly opposite the convenience store so it's a 5 minute walk to the nearest chairlift and all the rental shops, bars and restaurants. John is a fantastic and generous host who can't do enough for his guests, there's always a warm welcome at the bar, but be wary of the sake if you're skiing the next day. Thanks John, we'll definitely be back.
