The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Nagoya

What a wonderful stay! Although I've visited Nagoya several times, this was my first time staying in the Sakae district. While it's not as convenient for JR access as the area around Takashimaya, I personally think Sakae offers better, more youthful, and stylish shopping than Nagoya JR Station – there's just too much to explore! The hotel itself is very international, and the lobby's design sets it apart from other hotels. It also offers excellent privacy. Check-in was quiet and orderly. The staff spoke fluent English, were quick and very friendly, providing a great comfort after a long journey. The room was thoughtfully designed with many small surprises – I won't spoil them all; you'll have to discover them for yourselves!

This is a business hotel with a great environment and excellent facilities. However, the lobby is bustling every day, which takes away from the relaxing and comfortable feeling one desires during a trip. The room itself felt a bit cramped, and the limited space only added to the sense of busyness while traveling.

The hotel's location, environment, and service were all fantastic! The only thing I was unhappy with was that I couldn't find the fridge on the first day. I finally discovered it was essentially a flat panel mounted to the wall, only about 5 cm thick! It could barely fit two bottles of water. This is really inconvenient for guests staying during the summer.

The hotel's location is right in the heart of Rong Business District, directly across from the newly opened luxury mall, Haera. The basement connects directly to the subway, and the first floor leads straight into the mall, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and getting around.

Facilities: The room isn't small for Japan, and it cleverly utilizes every corner. You can open your suitcase without obstructing the walkway. Cleanliness: If you want your sheets changed daily, you can place the change card on the bed. However, there's always a lingering smell in the bathroom and toilet. Environment: Located in the Sakae shopping district, it's super convenient for shopping. You can use the underground mall to reach major department stores when it's raining or hot. The hotel is in the Chunichi Building, and the Montbell store on the 2nd floor offers tax refunds and has a good selection of goods. Service: The front desk staff always greet you when you pass by. The room view is excellent.

I rarely go out of my way to write a hotel review, but this place is absolutely amazing! Since the hotel is on a high floor, every room has a fantastic view, and the sunlight streaming in is just beautiful. The room decor is very modern and well-designed; all the storage is cleverly integrated into the metal circular counter by the sink. Even the ceramics in the room are local Japanese pottery. Everything is just perfect! The room was sparkling clean too.
