Despite the remote location in a far corner of Kouri Island, this Villa is quite easily accessible, within walking distance to the landmark attraction Heart Rock on the Island. The openness of the Villa is unique, which may not be liked by those who require security and privacy. A dip in the jacuzzi on the terrace during the day is a highlight of our stay. We particularly enjoyed having all curtains opened so we could submerge ourselves in nature and looked at the vast blue sky of Okinawa in the sunny afternoon we luckily had during our stay in mid April.

The room is a bit dated, but not so old that you'd call it extremely dilapidated. Insects were getting in from everywhere—the bathroom and the room—and honestly, I couldn't stand it. No matter how thorough the cleaning was, the building's construction seems to have a lot of gaps, as I saw worm-like insects and ants everywhere.

This homestay is suitable for self-driving tours or chartered tours. The area is deserted and it gets dark after 5 o'clock. You have to drive to nearby restaurants. The room is large, with a tatami room and a kitchen, which is enough for family or friends to travel. There is no service. You have to rely on yourself. The environment is still good.
